Re: Continuing to do things you aren't good at...
Golf - love it but not great at it. I would be happy to be a bogey golfer Running - love it but I am slow and chubby and hate trying to keep up with my friends Swimming - like a rock, tried to go back to first principal lessons, still suck Cycling - better than some but not as good as others, just w...

Re: Garmin Vivosmart Review
I have seen reviews that say the optical isn't as accurate when you work out. I tend to have a high heart rate which worries me about the optical one.
The guy at Best Buy was useless. I can read the same reviews online that you just pulled up.
Good to get some other feedback.

Re: Garmin Vivosmart Review
Thanks for the review. I have been thinking of getting the one with the HRM because I was hoping it would give me a sense of what I am getting out of my bootcamp and PT sessions. I was hoping that paired with the HRM I could gauge at least if I had a hard workout or not so hard. I know I am an all d...

Re: Bread Machines>> Kitchen Gadgets
I am not big on gadgets mostly cause of storage but...I bought my Bunn Velocity coffee maker about 2 months ago and love it. It is super low tech and works on the same principal as most commercial coffee makers. It has no timer but it literally takes 3 mins for a pot of hot coffee. I usually make6-8...

Re: Beginners questions
My advice: it doesn't matter much what you're doing, as long as you're moving forward. Don't overthink it. Don't start learning the lingo. Don't fuss over paces or plans or traing plans or anything that sounds like jargon. There'll be lots of time to overthink it later. Just run. This x 1000 What t...

I was once a tri-poser but I would reserve my extra calorie burn for booze. Little Debbie be damned.

Re: 3 years is enough. My Open letter to Goodlife/Mississaug
We left from Front Street/simcoe at about 1:30 PM. It was backed up on the Gardiner but moving. Thankfully I think the two events were spaced enough that there will be minimal overlap. Just the usual grossness when leaving a big event down there.

I am strangly fascinated by this. But The Joggler (Michel K) is also a disturbing fascination.
Anyone who can do the distance doing just more than the distance. Cool.

Coworker of mine is a competitive Master cyclist. Check out Pete Mogg. I suspect he will be competing in the Steaming Nostrils race this weekend. He won it last year.

You know people are hard-core hockey fans when they postpone their long run to 10AM so that they can watch the game.

FYI I swore by my baby carrier (sling thingy). Get what works for you. Try out different kinds. It will give you options for walking . Thinking ahead....when I had baby three I had a two yr old and a seven yr old. The baby in the carrier, two yr old in the stroller and older kid walking obviously. I...
