Re: Galloway's Run/Walk/Run Method

If you add in some walking, you simply get to spend more time outside doing distance. Super!

Re: 5k 20 weeks away. Please help me with a training plan!

why don't you just try running 3 times a week until 7 weeks before race then do the plan.
Make running a regular part of your life.

Re: what do you guys think about...

I was thinking about this earlier today. Only 7 people replied to this. Some people who come to rm regularly didn't reply. I guess that is an answer of sorts. I came along after the great Wolf Island meetup which JoJo organized. I went to meetups in 3 cities, Ottawa twice. Fun times. Because of this...

Re: what do you guys think about...

I belong to another discussion board which has a pay pal link to contribute. I notice that there are many lurkers. It would be nice if they participated. Why don't they? I agree with what JW said about the logs, including following Holly's journal. I like the idea of developing the community in Van;...

Re: Volunteeer burnout (?)

I volunteered last weekend: I got free camping spot, free park entrance, 50% off future race, swag if I wanted it, a meal if I wanted it.
Bonus points: I met some great people.
Of course, this was an ultra event. I don't think a major road race would interest me.

Gary Robbins' race report (well written) http://garyrobbinsrun.com/blog/2018/3/h ... -marathons

If you are going to spend 90 min on a tm, Jamil Courey spent that long answering questions here:

In this pod cast Jamil Courey talks about the why. It is long but a good listen while on the tm.

Re: Why would someone walk 100 miles in the snow?

I'm not sure why I do what I do, but I get something out of it. But I fail alot too. And second guess my quitting decisions.

Here is a video on why someone would run 100 miles. I don't think it really answers the question either.
