First 5 k non-stop run since surgery. Might seem like a not such a big deal to some, or just a short distance, but to me, its a great mile stone, seeing 7 weeks ago I could barely walk 50 m. Thanks to all for your love and support, you know who you are

Re: ideal race weight?

Its not worth wrecking my knee over, so maybe next year. I'm dissapointed, but thats life Untill then i just signed up for the Abbotsford...

Re: ideal race weight?
I forgot about Usain Bolt. At 6'5" certainly he breaks the "rule". Also- Paula Radcliffe is arguably the best female distance runner to have ever lived :) and at 5'7" she's significantly taller than the fastest women today. Taller runners have longer legs and are able to go fart...

Re: ideal race weight?
Thanks all so far, my goal time is gooing to be 2:30. We've run a mock 22k in 2:19 that was over a year ago, roughly the same weight. I'd love to get closer to the 2:10 but also being realistic

ideal race weight?
Not sure if this is the right place or if any can help, but here goes. Planning to run the Seattle half marathon in June and just wonder what an ideal weight would be. I'm 6'3 and 41 years old ( nearly 42 by then) not saying what my current weight is , but above 220   Thanks in advance
