Suckage

Just curious, if you had not known what your actual heart rate was during the race, just known that you felt you were working to hard do you think you would have gotten as scared?

I recall racing against her a few years ago, she was an exceptional athlete then. As is I was on the podium with her but she had finished, had a shower, a bite to eat, a nap then I finished. She didn't need to do that.

Was excited about the new race idea... but 5k is a tad to short for me. Have done horror hills 2.5k loop and Dirty girls 8ish k loop and realise that perhaps loops are not for me. You never know though..

Re: Julie Miller now running ultras

I realise that she is BC and I am in Ontario but I would not want to share a course with her. Based on the evidence I have seen she is guilty and she has never admitted guilt. I would like to think I can forgive but as she has admitted no wrong doing...

Personally I have found the key to successful marathons/ races in general- is to FOCUS....race specific training.

Fantastic race report, you really explained how it wasn't just the goal but the community of runners that made the effort together.

A hot day and you did it!!

However i...

I will never be so ill prepared to get home, especially in hypothermic like conditions. Completely forgot about food ...
