Re: Friday: Goodbye 2010, it's been a slice.
Morning, Marg! I'm going to set out for a 45-minute run around our neighborhood this morning (after I finish writing some new blog posts for my blog & the cooking blog I contribute to). It's supposed to be 53 and partly cloudy today, so I might live on the edge and not wear a jacket, muhaha :twi...

Re: 2010 in review
2010 was a pretty crappy year for me, for running and at home. Jan-March--Still in rehab from last year's hip injury; April-June--Slow jogs & a little training for my first 5k back; June--PR in 5K; July-August--Training went really well; September-November--Health problems (non-running related),...

Re: The Eve Before New Year's Eve Thursday
Heading to the gym at lunch for an hour on the bike. After work I'm baking and decorating for our NYE party tomorrow. I think I'm going to do mini-coffee cakes and vegan cupcakes with buttercream frosting (haha, using neither butter nor cream...crisco and almond milk all the way! ;) ). We're also ha...

Re: Last Monday before Christmas
3 miles on the TM + light weights scheduled for tonight. Today I made a decision: I'm dropping Goofy and just running the half at Disney. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks, and where I've been (training-related and emotionally/physically), this is going to be the best thing, I think. I've ...

We got our Magic Your Way travel info recently--airport transfers, luggage identifying tags, etc. I'm excited! Eric...I think he's still working on being excited about going to Disney World with his mother in law and all of his wife's running friends AGAIN. LOL.

Re: Thursday... a La kinda day
Happy birthday, La! I'm still traveling for work, so I checked out a new (to me, and only been in business a month) yoga studio in Asheville for a Level 2 90-minute flow/yin combo class. It was great, and turned out to be a 1-on-1 class since nobody else showed up. We spent about half the class in i...

Re: Tuesday Winter Wonderland
I'm about to take off for the mountains...driving into the snow today. I'm spending 4 days southwest of Asheville for work (looking at a map, it's the part of NC that appears to not have roads, civilization, or anything but forest). Apparently there are enough people there that I need to go and have...

I did my lsd yesterday, but was in the same 3-hour timeframe as you guys!
Today was a 20-minute jog before yoga to loosen up. I intended to head out for longer, but then realized yoga started earlier today than usual. Having friends over for dinner & games tonight. Woo!

6 miles around the lake on single-track, done! I even managed to be at my desk (our office overlooks part of the trail) after a shower by 9:15--serious miracle! Planning on an hour of yoga at lunch. We fly to Chicago tomorrow first thing, so tonight I'll be doing laundry for five days of vacation. :...

Re: 6 Friday's till Christmas
I'm so happy to be headed home today. I've been in Atlanta all week, and feeling pretty death-ill the whole time I've been here. I tried to get out for two runs, one turned into a walk (Tuesday) and one turned into 8 hours of barfing (Wednesday). Yesterday I had to get out of bed to give a presentat...

Re: New York 2011..Anyone
I saw that the lotto opened today, and Eric and I decided that 2011 was not going to be the year I started my 3 years of lottery waiting. Makes me a little sad, but we might start trying to enter in 2012.

Re: Monday, Monday, Monday Mornin'
I woke up crazy early (4:15!) to head to the gym. I felt pretty sick when I got there, so instead of a run, I walked for an hour on the TM. It was better than nothing... Had a doctor's appointment this morning, and now sitting at a cafe working/surfing the web while I wait for my lunch meeting at 12...

Re: NYC and Hamilton Sunday
Good luck to everyone racing today! I'm headed out for a long run--2:30 on the schedule. I'm debating having Eric drop me off 12-13 miles from home, or just running from home. Since he's still sleeping, I think plan #2 might be the winner. Also have to work today--I'm speaking at a conference in Atl...

Nothing but meetings in Charlotte and driving back and forth with my boss today. I did manage to beg and plead my way into an IKEA trip on the way home, so Eric will be putting together a new media stand and six lamps tonight
Tomorrow I'm planning on 6 miles.

I'm thankful it's Friday. This has been an exhausting week--physically and emotionally. The plan was to go out on a trail run at lunch; now the plan is to finish my work and go for a trail run as soon as I'm done. I'm hoping for 6-7 miles today around the lake. (Seriously, that's one of the best per...

Easy 3 miles with Eric this morning in the pitch-black. I'm planning to head to the gym for another 4 and some lifting after I get back from my day trip out of town for work. I'm really frustrated with my garmin--after downloading all the software updates, it still is not recording the right distanc...

Hour on the hamstermill if the storms don't clear up by tonight. If they do, an hour+ outside after work. It's going to be warm here too--about 20C. Love this! Otherwise, just working all day and trying to avoid my idiot co-workers as much as possible. I have a meeting for Leukemia & Lymphoma So...

Safe travels! Not sure what today holds. I might be taking a half day for some personal time, and if so, I'll head to the gym for an hour run. We've been dealing with some heavy stuff at home, so DH and I are both taking this week to regroup and take care of ourselves. (For both of us, that means mo...

Went for a long walk, with about 10 minutes of strides in my VFF's in the middle. I like them, but my calves don't like them yet. I'm sure they'll have a change of heart after more time. Headed to a baby's birthday party now, and doing some work around the house tonight. Refinishing tables, meal pla...

Thankfully the rains have stopped here! Although more are on the way Sunday.
Headed to the gym in just a few minutes to bike for an hour. Long run tomorrow morning, so I'm just going to loosen up a bit. My runs this week have taken a hit thanks to things going on at home and work.
