I'm not putting anyone down. I'm just trying to figure out why the really fast runners aren't joining. We obviously don't appeal to them. Aw c'mon Mr. Fizz, we know what you really mean. Once again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I'm not always comfortable/good at expressing my thoughts ...

I really can't see how it would exclude mid or back of packers. I fully agree, and I think (and I might be wrong) one of the points Brian was trying to make in his initial post was that a sub18 5k runner should not feel bad about potentially offending someone by writing "What a slow, slow day. I su...

Re: A NEW RM forum topic suggestion---RACING!

This fall, cgraham and robbie got blitzed by many runners in local cross country races. Who are these people that can smoke our fastest contributors? Why are they not contributors here? Is there a way to make them contributors? Can RM truly mirror the broad running community? Perhaps some of them d...

Tough news, but obviously a wise decision that not all of us would have the courage to make. Digging through the BAA website, I found last year's injury deferral process: Race Week: Injured Runners I have registered for the 2008 Boston Marathon, but I am unable to compete due to injury. May I defer...

Boston - Game over

My knee, although it's feeling better, won't let me do the required milage for me to do Boston this year. Phoque  I've decided not to go.

Hoping to requalify in 2010 for the 115th running of the race the following year.

Like Sheldon, I voted for the Half. Once Boston is done I hope to do a monthly 25k trail race. I find 20k to 30k to be my ideal distances.
