I need your stories

Hi Maniacs, It's been a long time since I posted...I have been fighting with an injury and am starting to get back to running ever so slowly...it's just like starting all over! Anyway, I am posting today because I am in charge of gathering stories for iRun's "150 Runners" issue, and I need...

Re: Rob Watson comes shy of Rio2016 while in London

A good marathoner but perhaps never meant to go sub 2:12. He needed 2:12:50 for the Olympic A-standard- his marathon PR is 2:13:29 from a couple years ago, so the Olympic standard was within his reach. I love Rob, and I was really wishing that he could do it-- unfortunately he doesn't always run th...

Re: Saucony Triumph ISO . . .

Unfortunately, I ended up disappointed :( Two issues: - I find them very hot. - With the shape of the toe box, I found my last two toes on my left foot were bumping the side and crowding together within ~16K - and that's doing the usual going up a half size to accommodate swelling. So I guess I will...

Well, I am in, and I am looking forward to it. :D

ETA: the $120 was the total - must have included HST and all fees. I did spend the extra $7 to buy dh a ferry ticket though - I doubt he'd come if I told him he had to swim.

Re: Nike Women Race Series in Toronto! June 14, 2015

You're right, it's pricey - but what you're paying for in most cases is the experience. Just like any event - there will be $50 concerts and $120+ concerts...sometimes the price difference is worth it, sometimes it's not, and people will disagree on the point. I entered the lottery because I have al...

We used silicone pot holders and it still would NOT budge. The vice grips were a last resort!

Looks good! I am wondering, with all the emphasis on it being Canadian, why is it in USD? Is that an Indiegogo requirement?

Re: David's Tea 2014 Advent Calendar Discussion

I haven't tried it yet. It took four different people to open my little container. After the third person couldn't open it, I gave up and made a mug of Santa's Secret. I had this happen with a tin from a gift set and i took it back to the store and they gave me 10-15g in a bag instead. That's good ...

Re: Mississauga vs Toronto Marathon (May)

I have done the Mississauga Marathon twice and never had problems with logistics. The one thing I didn't like is towards the end - where you go down to the trail, up to the street, down to the trail, up to the street...I don't know how many times. It's a little mentally tough when you're tired. But ...

I rarely listen to music outside, even on long runs. I prefer to be aware of the surrounding sounds and lose myself in my thoughts.
