what was most disappointing for mr seuss was that the Things were holding the finish banner on the last shift so he missed out on that and a finish line photo.

ETA: things have kind of gone downhill across the board since Graham Fraser sold all the IMNA races to WTC. I thought IMC was not included in that sale. Who runs it now?

sponsorship stuff i think. i think it was Powerade - may have it wrong. definitely not Gatorade.

Thanks for the update, seuss. Did he get his medal, hat and shirt? When my friend crossed at 17:15 back in 2006 they gave her the finishing gear. Running out of water at aid stations?? At Ironman? i always like to whiz up a couple of crisp toppings in the food processor and then throw it into ziplocks for quick fruit crisp using local fruit.

and a nice chowder with baking powder biscuits [bisquick for camping] - corn, clam/seafood, whatever...

the clinic doing the study is the most highly respected sports injury and research clinic in Vancouver - Dr Taunton was the chief medical officer for the Olympics so i would expect very high quality research coming out of their lab.

reminds me of why i started running - being a mommy to a couple of kids. having no example of active parents as a child, i was bound that my kids would have a different experience.
