Re: Batch cooking

We do big cooks quite often. We're finding it a big help this year with Bingerunner commuting for work so far out of town. Some our staples include: - meatballs - good in spaghetti sauce, sweet & sour meatballs, or with mushroom sauce - chicken breasts - cut into strips, coooked and frozen - gr...

Re: How do you stick to your healthy eating habits?

Also making sure I'm hydrated plays another big role in my hunger or 'precieved' hunger . The end of the day, the Canada Food Guide has been around for a long time. And there's a reason for it. This is MY problem. I'm a boredom eater. If I'm doing mundane office work, the first thing I do is look f...

Me too!

Wishing there was a white sleeveless included in the mix. I have one from the original order and love it, but it's seen better days too!

The first time at anything is always easy because you don't know what to expect! Good for you for tackling what you knew would be a tough comeback and making it all the way to the finish line of your first "return" race!!!! You inspire me, Kara! Good luck with the training. I'll be followi...

A friend of mine was diagnosed with gout after complaining of pain in her foot. Turned out be a simple (is there really anything simple about a) stress fracture. (She didn't question the gout diagnosis as there was a family history already). I have a bone cyst in my big toe which is very painful whe...

I thought the 'c' in HCcD stood for the massage chair at GL, his main training partner lately . . . Going to try my 2nd post-op run/walk on the TM today. The first one went well but knocked me out of all energy for the rest of the day. I'm hoping to build back up faster than this. First run p...

Back to the 5-day work week grind for me this week. Regular "rest day" for me from the gym but upon my return from holidays I discovered that we are holding hatha yoga classes 2ce a week at work. I assume this is an attempt at some team building, as well as an attempt at encouraging everyo...

Unbelievable morning sky. We had a sort of ice fog so the air was filled with light ice crystals which created the most amazing light show. Off in the distance and even up close you could see these amazing streams of light shooting up into the sky(from all the street lights and parking lot lights)....
