Re: Somersault races
Back in the day's of Royal Lepage series got a T Shirt and the usual goodie bag. No finishers medals. No clue where any finishers medals I ever got at a race are. And first, second, or third age group medal I know exactly where they are. Rather see useful stuff then another generic finishers medal ...

ID #2022003. Registered at 6:00 PM ET.
I qualified by a little 1:38 although my race was a total failure compared to the race plan. We will see later this week if I get in.

Re: IMC 2011 Bib Numbers
I don't care if someone wears finisher's clothes provided by the race organization but personally, I would not have asked for it or accepted it. (unless I had added a * to the word "finisher * " Anyway, I would not brag about it. I would register to another race and come back with a vengea...

It is just an excuse to train less. One hour is one hour. If you want to measure your effort, get a powertap.

Re: It's official: Ironman Mont-Tremblant, August 2012
I thought a little bit about this and I am just fed up with the Ironman brand even if the race is nearby. I don't want to register 14 months in advance for a race and I don't want to pay 675$ plus active.com fees to register to an overcrowded race. If I was to choose a race today, I would go back to...

Good for your Baby! I think he deserves a wetsuit, a carbon tri-bike and a racing wheelset.
Please do not spell it "triathalon". It makes Baby Jesus cry. It's "triathlon".

Re: Comparing your swim to your run or bike.
This is way to complicated. Let's keep it simple. The easiest way is too look at your race splits. Time is irrelevant here because of out of control factor but (wind, inaccurate distance, heat, etc.) E.G. Leg / rank AG / rank Overall Swim / 25 / 212 Bike / 29 / 289 Run / 32 / 386 It is easy to see t...

Ironman #3 in 4 months is coming soon. Beach2Battleship. I am even considering doing the Rocky Raccoon 100 miles in Texas in February. In 2011, I am planning to do the Embrunman in France.
I am always reconsidering everything.

Re: Reconsidering everything
Fast swim in a salty lagoon. In went easy in order to save me for the rest of the day. Hard bike. Lot of punctures. I was lucky and did not get any. A lot of rolling hills and no rest. Always pedaling. I was tired at the end of the bike. Very scenic. Nice run. I went by feeling as for swim and bike....

Funny, I did two Ironman since I posted this more than two years ago. Now, Challenge Copenhagen in less than 4 weeks and Wisconsin 5 weeks later. I still feel the same. I now realize I enjoy training more than racing but the crazy long days kill me. I don't even enjoy racing at Ironman level. So, I'...

http://www.tourducanada.com/ This is the Tour I did in 2003 (full) and in 2004 (Golden BC to Toronto). It is a non profit tour that operate on a coop basis. Never again! I wanted to quit at halfway because this was not fun at all but my handler lied by telling me that my Coach Eric didn't want me to quit. I kept going but quitted anyways at 2/3 in the race. I sat, rested and waited for 20 minutes but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for the sagw...

The Army run is Sept 19th next year, so it would be only 6 days after that. What about going the other way on the Calendar and holding it Mid-June, everyone is done with the road training after NCM and looking for something new. How are the bugs there that time of year? June does not work for triat...
