Re: Sunday! So whatcha doing?

My first run of 2011 was great. The weather was good, a bit windy, but my pace felt comfortable. 10.6K in 59 minutes.

Re: Bytchy marathon Sunday!!

Tough day at the office. I did the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Half Marathon. Around the 16K, my left IT band acted up and then my hips decided to take a break for the rest of the race. The final few K's up University Avenue were brutal. I did meet a really great volunteer who walked/ran/stretched with...

Good luck racers. Watching snippets from the traffic camera updates of the marathon makes me want to run.

Gearing up for a 22K LSD.

I decided to do my long run today to avoid the rain in the forecast for later today and tomorrow. 16.4K in 1:31 in cool and overcast conditions.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!

Re: THIS Sunday's Thread.....

I headed out for my LSD run but my right achilles didn't feel right so I headed back home after 10 minutes. This kind of sucks since the weather was cool compared to the past 2 weeks. I think I'll go for a swim instead.

Re: Sultry Saturday

I did a short (19:00) 3.4K recovery run in the morning heat and humidity.

TFC game this afternoon. I'm hoping the weather conditions stay dry. The last thing I need is a watered down $10 beer.

Great run Holly!

I did 7 Yasso 800s on the TM in my condo's exercise room. Too hot outside for my liking.

Re: Shoe shopping Monday

Almost a two and hour commute home (normally it's 30 minutes). A transformer on Kipling Ave blew. From my office tower at Bloor & Islington we saw smoke and then the building's power went off. The emergency generators didn't kick in. So everyone walked down unlit stairwells. From Kipling to Runn...

Congrats Joe! It sounds like some maniacs had fantastic race results.

It turns out that I didn't beat the heat entirely. I ended up going to the pool to cool off and swam just over 1,100 meters.

I was up early to beat the heat and smog. Just under 15K in 1:23.

Enjoy the rest of the day!
