nice job - I'm hoping to run it next year! You must have see DH, he was there with his team and also ran leg 16! This was his first one and he had such a fabulous time, we almost need a maniac team for next year!

Congrats again on the great finish, something to be so proud of!

I know from personal experience how hard it can be. I was a personal trainer in fabulous shape, I ran into some problems and gained 100+lbs and totally stopped EVERYTHING - not even a walk. Jan 2007 I joined WW to start to lose weight so I could exercise again without pain, lost it all and was doing...

I too have not run in quite a while and have restarted just recently (with the 10k at he F'ton as my goal as well :D ). I have decided to use the 10:1 to increase my distance and have found it works like a charm right now. I am sooooo sloooow that to do it continuous would be daunting right now. For...

Thanks for the info - I will check my laces next run. It's funny that you mentioned Saucony shoes :? - that's the brand I have trouble with, my Nike shoes don't cause that problem.

I like the idea of new shoes

Help.....Numb Toes

K - here's my problem. My toes, well forefoot really, goes numb every time I run. I have great fitting shoes, snug but with room to wiggle my toes and my toes are fine with just walking (warm-up/cooldown) but within minutes of starting my run it starts, it's quite uncomfortable. I am carrying around...

I have the day off today and just a dentist appointment so I have plenty of time to get that run in, and maybe some housework.

Rhonda, I find the treadmill harder than outside, everyone seems to have very different experiences with it. I find once I am on the road I enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and can really see my progress, I also find my body automatically adjusts it's pacing depending on how I'm feeling and my incli...
