Hi there....I'm back.....I was gone?

Apparently I was absent since 2011.

What have I missed? Is there a summary thread to get caught up on?

Still running. Mississauga half on the calendar.

Re: IM Canada 2011

Swim, bike and run more than the other 3 times! ;) Actually....this time should be different. Got the house setlled now. Wedding isn't in any planning stages right now, so no worries for that croping up until 2012 or later anyway. I'm not moving to the US or back to Canada, so no stress there. I mig...

I ride a 2004 Cervelo One.

Reasons I purchased new:

1) Liked the way it looked, and the colours (black & yellow)

2) Price (entry level at that time was $1799)

3) service from the LBS that helped me with fitting an other bike questions to get me set up with it at the time

Greetings from Ironman Louisville

Athlete # 1062 checking in. We are looking forward to the storm that is going to cool this place off by a good 5-10 degrees and put race day temps into the low to mid 70's. PLUS.....they tell me the storm will also help the downstream swimming with afaster current. So lets hope for a quick swim star...

Hated the race! Ran it in 2007. The first half smelled terrible. There was roadkill at mile marker 18. Couple of corners where it can get bunched up. Race kit pick up is not in the safest of Philly neighbourhoods IMO. Some positives. Crowds are great. Its pretty neat to be listening to the Rocky the...

I think the cost/mile is cheaper than a WTC event. Plus you get the accomodation.

Thanks for the input. I may just get a watch instead and just not bother with all the other fancy gadgets. I have been extremely busy at work. Our company did layoffs, and we had 3 people affected in our department. That was not a fun month. My work visa expires in November, but I don't think they w...

Timex Bodylink - Looking for opinions

My Polar 720i has finally given up, and I am thinking of converting over to the Timex Bodylink. Did a quick search and found a few postings. Interested in hearing from the trigeeks as to how well it has worked for you, and whether it is worth moving from Polar to Timex (if you have an opinion on Pol...

I dislike point-to-point races with unorganized transportation for runners. Oterwise, I much prefer point-to-point races. Going in circles is boring.

Good luck Trixiee.

Gonna do an hour of core work before heading out the door for Corning NY. The fiance and I are running the marathon tomorrow. Her first, and she is gonna kick my arse! Should be a good time.

Good luck to the PEC'ers. And to the Toad runners today!

Cheers,
