96th Boxing Day 10 & 4 mile runs Hamilton
Many maniacs have done this event over the years. This year all entrants receive a pair of made in Hamilton snowman mitts at bib pickup. Then a custom snowman finishers medal and a fleece blanket after they cross the finish line. Staged out of the YMCA in downtown Hamilton means that there is indoor...

The website said that there were no tickets available. We bought tickets on the day at the posted price. The information is that th...

Re: Hamilton Boxing Day Romp in the Park!!
Hi Ken:
Thank you for the great report and for coming out again this year. The 5 mile / 6 mile change was due to a mistake of the volunteers sending you up Longwood Ave. first. We will be applying to the City of Hamilton to run the race that way in 2015.
James

Race Morning:
The thunderstorm went through at 4:30am. The weather looks good for the race. A wet course, we should see lots of runners covered in mud at the end.
enjoy,
James

Milton Half Marathon
A nice day for the event. Ed Whitlock set another world record at 1:38:11 for the fastest half marathon by a person over 80 years of age. The Hamilton Harriers had three runners placing 3rd or better in their age groups. The Black Lung Runners from Toronto dominated the event. I was there to promote...

Valentines Run, St. Catharines
Had a great day at this small race. Only $35.00 a shirt, post race chili, pizza and beer. A run that you should consider doing next year. A flat out and back course close to Lake Ontario. My first event of the year.

Re: A windy day in Hamilton, Ontario
Thank you for coming out again this year, and congratulations on another personal best. The Hamilton Harriers work hard to make it a good race experience. With the weather that came in after the race, I am glad it is not the December 27th 10 miler.

The Hamilton Harriers will be putting in a team to this well organized event. If you want a shorter challenge than the big distances think about putting together your own team. See you there.
