My tattoo is 42.2 and a running autumn maple leaf. There is a picture on here somewhere. I'm Canadian, metric is the system we use, in fact, it is what the rest of the world uses, besides the US, so I'm good with that. I wear shorts a lot (it is on a calf). Not many people ask about it though. But r...

I'm thinking about it. Got the email today. I was planning on it last year but then we ended up being away that weekend. As my training is approaching hopeless for the Freddy Half this might be a better option, and do the 10k at Fred. instead. Hmmmm. Also (slight highjack) there is this race new th...

I've been wanting to do it since I read the race reports from last year.... if the stars aligned I'll be there. Does this race solds out? If so when would it expect to be selling out? Yes, it sells out. But maybe not so fast this year. In previous years there were 200-250 spots total. This year, 25...

The HBC Canada Day 10K is not being held anywhere in Canada. (that's my understanding anyhow).

Let us know what you're looking for, we'll take care down east style.

So, just a quick head count. 7 maniacs signed up and its only mid-Feb. Awesome!

It absolutely depends on what kind of soup it is! Rookies... I have no idea what you would call it.... Anyhow, the base stuff, are leeks, celery, onion, potato and garlic. That stuff cooks then blended together into a rather nasty looking base. Then I add stuff like, corn, green beans, zucch...

New to the soup world...

I've been making soup from scratch for a few days now. It's been a good so far. (Actually, it is much better the next day.)

Anyhow, right now it is spice-free.

Any suggestions on a spice or two that work well in a soup?

At first I thought I was going to spit coffee over the laptop, but then I was afraid of throwing up over it instead! Then a shiver of foreboding... Aliant!!! For the love of god man! After a successful spring and summer of 10K's you could always do a late fall half.

Your overall speed will have more than certainly improved. Your body will most likely feel rested after the shorter recoveries of the 10K. And your mind/spirit will not be burned out after logging all those LSDs.
