Re: A Lady and Her Dog

Sounds like a great first day. Keep moving forward and, mucus or no mucus, you will make it to 30 minutes of running!

Re: Galloway's Run/Walk/Run Method

Well, anyone using the Running Room approach will be using a very restricted version of "Gallowalking", following their 10 & 1 dogma. I know some ultra runners use walk breaks to extend their long runs and even use it during those long races. I started using a variation of the None to ...

Re: Tapering Sucks

Taper tantrums....you should be used to them by now!!! Your body is gaining strength after your heavy training schedule and is letting all those muscle microtears etc. heal up. Go out and spend some money: your credit card is supposed to get hot while you are waiting for race day...

14.5K on the trails this morning, consisting of 10K running and 4.5K walking. Really humid and the mosquitoes would cover you if you stopped for 1 second.

Re: Monday sun day

Volunteering again with the seniors at pickleball at noon tired me out. Most of these folks are younger than me. Did a nice tempo run on the TM this evening. Walk for 5 minutes to warm up and then 5K at a good pace, followed by 5 minute walk to sort of cool down.

Sounds like a lot of good races today! I did not run. Did the weights & stretching this morning and then 20 minutes on the rowing machine this afternoon. Cold out there and it looked like wet snow was present at one point.

I was staying on the sidelines and watching this thing run its course. It has been a while coming. I was initially laughing at some of the stuff that was spewing out. Then I started to feel sad that someone could twist their mind to such a degree and think that they were being so factual, so logical...

Ran up to the track with the group tonight. The track part was 5 by [860m faster & 430m easy]. Ran in the middle lane to stay out of the way as there were two groups training on the track. Plus the 1.75K each way to the track. Total of 10K. No new shoes today but I do need some.

Tired legs is the theme today...me too. Managed a tempo-ish 5K on the TM. Would have been washed away if I had tried running outside. Who is this Ironboy dude...did you suddenly remember your log-in password?

15K this morning on the trails in Kanata. Faster than last week, so positive signs. Soccer & beer tonight.
