Re: Egg Nog Jog

Sadly, my 10 year running streak of running this race comes to an end. Sad to not be able to go :(
Looks like the weather will be quite nice this year! Good luck to everyone running it :D

Re: footwear for snowshoes

Thanks for the responses. I figured a trail shoe would work best and I did get a pair of gaitors with the snowshoes. Going to give them a go this morning! :D

footwear for snowshoes

I received a pair of snowshoes for Christmas and am at a loss at to what type of footwear to wear with them. The snowshoes I have are mainly going to be used for running. I don't think wearing winter boots will be necessary. Can I just wear regular running shoes or should I invest in a more wintery ...

Nice, easy paced 8km around the 'hood this morning. Enjoying the shorts and t-shirt weather while it's still here...

Re: World Record Sunday

Plan was to run about 20km today ended up with a horrible 18km. Not sure what was going on today (I may be coming down with a cold) but each step felt like a huge effort and any type of incline felt like huge hill. I really hated running today....

hilly 18km this morning. Not sure if my body can handle longer distances anymore... may have to stick to nothing more than 10-12km and/or cycling after I get through this 1/2 marathon training.

Re: Waterdrops in every direction Saturday

Decided to wait out the rain and finally around noon it stopped... so I ran. 16.5km in the cool, kinda misty with the occasional sun shine. Felt great today. Love these kind of temps way better than hot sun...not that I want winter to come or anything

10km while my daughter was horseback riding. Great evening for a run, even with the cooler temps, overcast skies and wind.

Re: Sunny??? Sunday

Steady 8km this morning. Very humid out. Figures, as soon as I register for a race I start having issues with something... this time I seem to get a pain in my right knee every so often, mostly on any sort of downhill... hoping this is just a "glitch" in training.
