Re: Vitamix Successes and Failures

I love my Vitamix! I've made lots of smoothies, and have experimented with including some green stuff in there. I actually really like the soups from the vitamin because it's so easy - I've made a few versions of a broccoli cheese soup and learned that you really must steam the broccoli first. That...

I was going to run this morning but then got caught up on the phone.  Heading out shortly to give blood, so no run after that. It's my 32nd donation! :) Nice! It's been forever since I posted in the daily thread, thought maybe if I post here I'll be more apt to stick to my workouts. :o...

Re: Swimming...

I took lessons a few years ago. I found that I was having a bit of anxiety in the deeper water, taking the lessons forced me to face my fear. I only took the one session of lessons, I certainly could use more to help my form. I would like to do one of the Total Immersion Workshops but unfortunately ...

Congratulations to all the racers!!! An easy 12k on the TM this morning, pace was a little faster than LSD pace as I was late getting the run done and had lots to do today. Pace was 6:31/km. My legs felt tired but I know they're going to be a lot more tired next week since I'll be taking my long run...

It's very sad, 21 yo and 40 yo males. Only got in one run this week so it's going to be a really slow easy LSD this morning, likely no more than 10k. Then some house organizing and a bit of paper work.

I haven't done the Cruise 2 Run but we've done a number of cruises. Our kids (now 12&10) love going on cruises, we're able to give them a bit of "freedom", there's a lot of kid activities, and they love the food selection. :D (okay so do I but my selections are little different than th...

Girls had sleep-over at Grama's last night, that meant I was able to get outdoors for an early morning run before work. A run on a nice sunny morning is a great way to start a Monday. :D Easy 30 minute "recovery" run, 6:20/km pace. Didn't realize legs were sore from yesterday until I start...
