Re: Toronto Waterfront Marathon/Half/5K- who's in?

So I really messed up  and missed the registration for the Half. If anyone has a bib they can't use, or knows someone who can't use theirs I will be happy to buy it.

Cheers

Re: 2011 here we come! SATURDAY thread!

Did the Resolution Run at Noon. After a sluggish pre-Christmas with too much business travel and a nasty cold for two weeks I am committed to getting back on track.

Happy New Year

Yesterday evening I did 8.2 k at a 6:05 pace which is pretty brisk for me these days. It felt good and I will be working on improving my pace through the fall. Today will be a rest day.

Slept in this morning, and today is a rest day. After such a hot, sunny Summer it feels like October arrived a month early.

Re: Getaway Sunday

A nice cool day for a run. My first run since last Sunday as I had a nasty cold that made life miserable for the early part of the week. I did 11.65km at a reasonable pace.

Re: Wet Windy Sunday

A wet 23k LSD in the bag. I have been nursing a sore glute/piriformis for about 6 weeks and it really gets bothersome after about 15k. I have been trying stretches and cutting back on mileage, but they don't seem to be working. I even got new orthotics and they have helped a bit. I had a Dr appointm...

Heading out for a 29k LSD with the Markham RR Marathon Group. I was out late at a wedding and don't feel the most energetic. Yesterday was the Terra Cotta 5 Peaks Sports 5.8 km. I had a good run and enjoyed myself.

Re: Is it really MONDAY?

I'm catching up after a busy weekend. Saturday morning was 5PeaKs Sports course at Rattlesnake - ended up 2nd in my age group  ! The afternoon was spent picnicking with my Son and family followed by spectating at my 4 years old Grandsons TimBits soccer game. To say it was amusing would be an ...

Off for a 19km LSD with the RR Marathon Clinic. It looks like it will be a really hot one, so I will probably have to run slower than I want.

Happy July 4th to all our US neighbours.

Re: Rainy Cycling Saturday

I did the Sport distance (5.5km) 5 Peaks Durham Forest with my son this morning. The rain held off which was great. Didn't break any records but had a good run over a difficult course - placed 3rd in my age group (which only had 4 runners  ). Spent some time chatting with BJH who was doing the...

Did a credible 20 k LSD with a friend. The forecast was for showers and thunder showers, but all we got were a few sprinkles. Now I have to keep on track and get ready for the Mississauga ½.

Have a great day.

I have been crazy busy at work and both my running and my posting :( have suffered. Did a short 3k this morning in chilly weather. Tomorrow will be a long run. I haven't decided how far - something between 23 and 32 depending on how I feel :? .

Tortoise - you have to be careful out there. Cars backing out of driveways are my number one enemy. Drivers often don't take the time to check both ways - they just look in the direction of the oncoming traffic and if you are running towards the traffic they just don't see you. I hope the injury isn...
