You're the EXACT opposite of me by the sounds of it, I'm cautious but maybe to a fault. :D Good luck listening to your body. I know it may seem hard, especially if you're accustom to ignoring it for future gains but it sounds like you need to start listening to it now and have .. can I say.. too muc...

Water in.. sweat out
I have a condition called hyperhydrosis which causes me to sweat more than normal, luckily contained in certain areas of my body. Its contained to my feet and I'm being treated for other areas (underarms) so that is not a concern. What I am concerned about is my water intake and how often I need to ...

The ones that are not safe are the hard plastic ones. So if you have a squeezy sports bottle, it is my understanding you should be fine... http://www.care2.com/greenliving/which-plastics-are-safe.html That is a general guide.. although there are subtypes within each number range. One of the debates...

I have a fair bit of Jack Johnson on my list and have to admit that I hit skip when I'm running. Me too, I try to open with him in my warm up instead. ;) I like Staple it together though. Love the beat! The worst one I have on my list is Leaving on a Jet plane..actually thats probably not the worst...

I don't believe what the current status of forefoot running vs heel striking in elite runners has very little to do with which one is a more effective method. It's just data, and you can interpret it however you want. You can easily say by reading this data that, oh theres a lot less forefoot strike...

I'm confused about the location of the pain. Do you mean it's deep inside (like almost in your butt) or on the front (like the hip flexor?). Yes near the front so I'm assuming that area. Anatomy lessons are lost on me until I become very comfortable with an area of interest so you'll have to excuse...

What type of stretches do you do after your runs? I probably should note that I felt the pain while running this time.. nothing big but it was there while running. I do the first 6 here minus the shin stretch, plus the groin stretch.. I think I cant tell by this picture: http://www.spinalhealth.net...

I'm not sure how it works right now but heres my general two cents: I personally believe anyone who places in an accomplished race should be put under scrutiny, regardless of age. As for testing all qualifiers for events like the Boston in order to minimize doping.. well why not random drug testing?...

Hip pain
So I'm experiencing a little bit of pain in my hip following my run this afternoon. I had similar hip pain awhile ago but brushed it off as something unrelated but now I'm not so sure. Is hip pain a common running condition. The pain is located in my left inner hip area. I'm a little confused as to ...

I guess I'm lucky I almost always wear the built in bras that come with my tops from lulu.. and I think I have a Nike one as well. If I don't happen to wear one of those I have a couple cheap sportsbras that my sister gave to me cause they were too small on here lol. Where I get annoyed is when I ha...
