Re: David's Tea

And they are sold out online now. I managed to snag one online for a friend when she saw mine (Barrie was sold out when we went back) but when I checked the site this morning they were all gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I heard 4pm EST or so is when they were sold out online. Last year, I...

Re: "Better" marathon predictor calculator

It predicted 2 minutes faster than my spring marathon - and, I had more in me (I was pacing a friend).....

It also predicted with a few minutes of my first marathon, based on my half and 10k time at that time (compared to runner's world that predicted 30 minutes faster!)

Re: David's Tea

Ordered one for me, one for Marg and one for Scrummie in case she wants one. I figure that with back to work looming post-baby, I will need all the caffeine that I can get. :) If scrummy doesn't want the one you have for her - I'll take it! Or - does anyone in Ottawa have an extra? Does anyone know...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

I'm really struggling to fit my runs in. We are all adjusting to the Kindergarten routine, and my entire house is crabby and tired. I really need to come up with a plan that is going to work, as I have been missing a lot of runs. I don't have any dedicated "child-free" time, nor do I have...

I'm another one that's all about scheduling, and, friends. I have my set times, and, I just go and do it then. Sure, the house is a disaster and the kids might be whining, but, I go anyway. :)

Wait, people using watches are hitting the lap buttons? Oy....as a pace clock user, that just seems foreign to me.

Re: Pace clock or watch in the pool?

Getting wacked by a wrist hurts much less than by a wrist with a watch on it. No watches during group training.

Funny Story - Toronto Scotiabank Pace Bunny...

So, I was undecided on what to do about a race in the fall....not sure if I actually wanted "race" anything, but, I knew I wanted to train for something - I've enjoyed the marathon training. I got in touch with canalrunner to get him to put me in touch with the pace bunny organizer for Sco...

We'll likely bring the kids. Can't beat that price! I doubt I'll do the 5 or 10 though. I appreciate my sleep and easy logistics of not getting down there too early. :-P Turns out you can beat that price - the price of not rushing out the door on Canada Day and just heading down to our local beach ...

Would you consider using split times as well in your golden ears decision? :-) I finished right around the 2:30 continuous half bunny. At 1 km left, he took of in a sprint that made everyone look at him in confusion. We all commented on it, that's how noticeable it was. I've actually never seen any...

Do people really sit at their desk for longer than 30-60 minutes at a time? Unless I'm in an all day meeting or training, I'm moving a lot throughout the day!

huh - if you register before June 24th - it's an extra $20 to do Goofy. in the middle time per od, it's an extra $10 to do Goofy. After August, there's no extra cost to do Goofy! weird. I won't decide for awhile yet. If it is like any of the recent RunDisney races and challenges, it may very well s...
