Re: Tough day for Runningman at NCM

It was a fun weekend, especially seeing Riley run his first race at 12 years old, and to see the enthusiasm on his face was worth the trip to Ottawa. Congrats Riley :D Mike, again, congrats on the PB! I always find it inspiring to see how you quickly analyze your performance, determine what worked,...

They may not be running another RunTO this spring, but they still have a regular run club, apparently -- one of my co-workers is a Nike group leader and has asked several times whether/when I'm going to come out for a run with them. I've been looking for information on their run club in Toronto, bu...

Ahh...belly fat...ain't it lovely. I've found pilates is a great way to flatten my tummy...I just need to be a little more dedicated about doing it regularly. I go to classes once a week but I should do it at home at least 2-3 times as well. Even 15-20 minutes helps. Pilates...that's my reco...

Same here, I'm a belly-fat storer, too. Which is actually bad for a woman (apple-shaped, as opposed to pear-shaped). My legs and hips are slim relative to the shape of my mid-section. It also makes buying clothes a pain as pants sag in the butt and thighs when I buy them big enough to fit my...

It may seem like I got off to a fairly quick start. I ran my first half marathon just under a year after starting to run. Unfortunately, that's where the momentum ended. My first half (Chilly Half - March 2005) is still my best time. For my next 3 HMs, my time actually increased. Each race was worse...

Welcome Mikkel.

I'm envious of you living so close to so many maniacs. I also joined the group looking for people to run with. While I live in Toronto, I'm apparently in the wrong neck of the woods :(

Thanks! One last question. I noticed that the sizing is quite different between the betty and the raid. Do you have both? If so, did you get both in the same size, or did you go one up for the betty?

Can anyone point me to any pics of the betty and the men's sleeveless? I'd like to get an idea of the fit/length, etc, of the betty. My ds would like to confirm that men's sleeveless is "cool" enough before I order it. the pics are on the order page. :) Thanks :) blech! I hate sizing charts!...

I'm heading out with my ds for 14 km. His longest distance ever. I'm not impressed with the cold and snow. When will it be spring? Seven weeks until Ottawa. I need some heat for my long runs to prepare for the usual heatwave that hits just in time for NCM weekend!

Congrats in advance to all who did ATB!

Did my LSD yesterday, so no running today. I just arrived in Bermuda where it's a sunny 23 degrees! I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's a good thing I ran yesterday. It's too hot to run today! I'm off to explore.

DS and I did a 10k LSD today. We missed our short runs all week, so we found it a little rough. Still, it was great to get out there in the warmer weather. What a great day!

No running for me today. It's a rest day, and boy do I need it! My LSD yesterday nearly killed me. I've been running indoors a lot lately, but made an effort to get outside. Yesterday was cold but mostly it was the wind that got me. I am a wind-wimp. I'm also not a fan of running on snow and Ice. I ...
