Procrastination Lesson 101: Officially registered for the 30 K on Sunday March 11, 2012. Purchased through Kijiji from a nice gentleman from Stoney Creek who wanted to get rid of his bib number. Yes, yesterday I drove to Stoney Creek... Procrastination Lesson 102: This evening I did my first traini...

Re: Around the Bay 30K & Relays SOLD OUT

Don't run as a bandit. If enough people do that, it causes shortages at the aid stations, running out of finishing medals etc... IF you do run as a bandit, pull off the course and dont finish in Copps and dont take any aid from the stations.... Hey I was only kidding with the comment of running as ...

Hey I like the video of the race Peter. I looks sort of lonely though. It must be because you were ahead of the pack. Congratulations on your second place.

Re: Welcome 2012 Sunday Run!

Today I ran the 5 Km Resolution Run Pickering - Whitby version. The run took place in Oshawa at noontime. My time was 24 minutes and 20 seconds. I am sure the path was not measured properly as I ran 5 Km on a treadmill on Dec. 29 in 23 min. and 40 seconds without that much effort and today I really ...

Temperature outside about -10 C at 10 AM. A bit cold by Pickering standards. I'll do 45 minutes of stationary bike (still recovering from my calf injury) and hit the machines at the gym late in the afternoon....

Any weirdos doing the Midnite RUN 12-31-2011 Toronto

This is the website: http://www.midniteruntoronto.com

I just heard of it on Monday through a brochure while in Hamilton.

Any comments? Too expensive for a 5 Km.... :!:

Hey you were really flying yesterday while you passed me. Like you said, this is not a normal average 10 miler. The ridiculous uphills can make anyone feel humble. Nevertheless, you conquered the hills

So nice to run the Boxing Day 10 Miler with an injured calf

Very likely the 10 Miler Boxing Day run in Hamilton was my last official race of 2011. Last Wednesday I injured my right calf because I was showing off at the gym running very fast on a treadmill without any previous warming up. After about 2 kilometers I felt a very sharp pain on my right calf that...

Re: 91st Boxing Day 10 miler

If I decide to run this 10 Miler it would be my 6th year in a row with the Boxing Day. It might be my last run of the year 'cause I'm not running the Egg Nog Jog. Probably never will in the future (Egg Nog)....I don't like races with caps .....sounds like a dictatorship.

10 Miler Whitby Report plus a bit of whining

This 10 Miler was a little bit of a boost to my destroyed sense of accomplishment as a result of my two disappointing and embarrassing marathons (Toronto Waterfront in October and Hamilton 2 weeks ago). I didn’t even write a report for Hamilton because I felt so ashamed of my poor performance. I hav...

Re: Double Bellybuster - PW at Hamilton Marathon

It was really nice meeting you. I ran out of steam after 31 K, I walked all the way to 34 K and I also walked for a couple of minutes at 24 K at the very beginning of the downhill. Sorry to hear you had a lousy performance too.

Re: HCcD's Crashin' & Burnin' At Hamilton Road2Hope Marathon

Too bad it wasn't your day Andy. When I was walking around the 33 K mark I thought you were already having a good time at the GG and probably checking other runners' results either in your computer or your phone. Sorry that I didn't make it to the GG but I felt too shocked, tired and dirty to be the...

Did anyone hear of any news or update on the runner who apparently collapsed at around the 34K mark ? Hopefully, was not anything major ..   I had an embarr...

Re: Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope - November 6

Sorry guys for not going to the Golden Griddle ..... it took me longer than expected to finish. I walked like half hour overall, just because I felt tired or didn't really have the motivation. That was really embarrasing. I guess the negative thoughts took over me, I was thinking that this was going...
