Re: Boston Marathon - KenB vs LisaP - It's on!

I've been following this thread and pondering who I'll put my money on. Do I go with the Adorable Vertically Challenged Lisa...or the Zesty Old Geezer Ken. :D I can't decide...I have a feeling this is going to be a race day decision for me   Especially since you are both a vertically ch...

Re: Timeless Running

I'm not trying to BQ and I'm just getting back into serious training after an almost two year break from being focused on running (family stuff took my focus...and I don't regret that) Now I'm running without a watch or HR monitor...and have decided that's pretty much how I'll do my races this year....

3 KM on the treadmill before going off to see my RMT.
Something wonky going on with my knees...strange. RMT thinks this may actually have to do with my hips. He'll be sending me exercises. I love my RMT! :D

Re: Thirsty Tuesday in Southeast Asia.

Dog sitting C-Moss's "cousin" Sasha (Sasha stays here so much that's what I call her...her humans are off on a two week cycling trip in Arizona). So...no run...but a good hour walk with the dogs down by the lake where they romped off leash and I supervised. C-Moss amazes me ...she's an old...

Re: Beginners questions

My advice: it doesn't matter much what you're doing, as long as you're moving forward. Don't overthink it. Don't start learning the lingo. Don't fuss over paces or plans or traing plans or anything that sounds like jargon. There'll be lots of time to overthink it later. Just run. This x 1000 What t...

Re: Continuing to do things you aren't good at...

On topic, I agree that if I enjoy something it doesn't really matter if I ever become good at it (take running for example... I've never been good at it but I keep doing it because it makes me feel good). On the other hand, success creates confidence... and lack of success can destroy confidence, u...

Re: Laugh and Get Rich Sunday

Planned a snow shoe walk with C-Moss this morning. Got C-Moss dressed in her warm winter coat...put on her leash...she dug in her heels and refused to leave the house. Hmmm....perhaps she was the smart one...I braved the elements and got out for a good walk...and got home before the freezing rain se...
