Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...
YAY on the run Rockstar! :) How big are our girls? V is about 24lb (at 21 months) and still wears some 12 month pants  . She is mostly in 18-24m clothes, though. Ann, I may have some clothing for V you can borrow. M is about 21ish lbs (I am guessing?) but really really long. Is V long or short?...

A very belated thanks for the congratulations! Gavin's now 2 weeks and I'm itching to get back to running but my body's definitely not ready, and the C-section is probably going to prolong things a bit. CONGRATS!! I LOVE the name you chose  :D :D I hope you are recovering well and loving your...

Re: Winter's coming Sunday
Waiting (im)patiently for both kiddos to nap so I can head out for a long run on this gorgeous day, although my 'long' run is only about 6-7k long. I have a route that is 6k planned with some possibility for a bit extra to make it 7ish k. Let's hope my hip/pelvis will let me do it all.

I am VERY, VERY excited... after a short easy run, I am getting ZOMBIE-FIED!!!! Pat and I, along with at least one good friend, are doing the Toronto Zombie Walk at Trinity Bellwoods Park. I have a FABULOUS zombie redneck costume, and I have watched several instructional videos on how to use liquid...

Congratulations again and welcome to the club! Words of wisdom: listen to your body and do what's best for you and Cassie. You have your life time to run so if you feel it is affecting your supply then maybe stop for a while. Cassie will get everything from you, just like pregnancy, so she will be ...

had a three week PP client at the clinic today; baby number three. Just a reminder to do a bit of neck stretching after you have been sitting down breastfeeding. That was the main cause of her complaint! Good reminder! Also, bring baby to the boob, not boob to the baby! It is hard to do at first bu...

Yay for the marathon training ladies- soooo impressed! Also yay for the Army mommas- wowza for some fast races! Ann/Colette- the bum/poo/pee/penis/vagina talk just gets worse with age (until 2.5 at least) Good luck on the balance stuff, honestly I have no tips as I have the same issues. I don'...

favour to ask Army Run person from SW Ont (or TO) with a car
If someone at the army run in Ottawa can make a stop for me to get a sewing machine from ms_designer, I would appreciate it!
Let me know by PM if you can. Thanks!!

Re: Sedentary lifestyle not just the lack of physical activity
I was thinking of this article this morning. I was walking with the stroller to preschool (just over 2k hilly walk) and then back from preschool (so about 4.5k total), after already taking the dog for a morning walk (about 1k). When I got home, I had plans for a run. But, to be honest, with preschoo...

Thanks everyone for your input - I appreciate it. It certainly seems as though the pacemaster is the most popular. Now I'm just keeping my eyes open for sales! I bought mine at Fitness Depot, and while it wasn't on sale, I asked if they would give me their previous sale price. They said yes without...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...
I just had a run that HRMs would appreciate. I am about to head out for a run (alone) when the baby wakes up from her nap, so I tell DH I will take her for a lap. I realize that it is her first run, so I get DH to take a picture of us for posterity and off we go. I get about 5 minutes in and realize...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am not starting until october, since DH is off this month so I can more easily run. I am not paying her, she loves babies and is done having them, so wants a baby to cuddle. I think I will call her in early october to check-in and see if there are a few days that ...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...
Question for all the HRMs out there: I just got an offer from a neighbour (with 2 little ones at home) to look after M for an hour or so on some wednesdays when G is in daycare so that I can go for a run. So, I think I may take her up on it (assuming/hoping it was genuine and not a 'polite' offer). ...
