You read right - I re-read my old training logs and although I had some weeks of 70 kms the average were closer to 50. God, I wish that was all it took for me. Just a bit of a hijack here, because it sounds like monkey wants to focus on shorter races now, but.... Getting the miles up into the 40-50 kms per week range will really help you with the fade / cramping you are getting at the end of your marathons, in my opinion. It worked for me, knocking 8-10 m...

You have lots of great advice here, and you have already done more marathons in one year than I have done in my life (four!). Getting the miles up into the 40-50 kms per week range will really help you with the fade / cramping you are getting at the end of your marathons, in my opinion. It worked fo...

Rest day today.
Yes it is icy, saw a commuting cyclist go down hard while taking a corner this morning. He didn't appear to hit his head but his feelings were hurt!

INterval training on the track - very dark - lucky I didn't twist an ankle.

Want to run but my NEW BED is getting delivered between the vague hours of 5-9 p.m. So I think I will do weights and core workout instead, maybe even jog on the spot LOL.
