Re: Sunday
I really need to start reading/posting in the daily thread, reading about everyone's runs is really motivating. :D Didn't get much sleep last night (DD had a sleepover for her bday party and they were still up at 3:30am  ) so I am lacking energy, heading down to do my LSD on the TM in a few mi...

Re: Is there no Sunday thread yet?
Congratulations to Heather & Jennifer!!! It was a great running morning today, cooler and with a slight drizzle I was very relieved since I slept in and didn't get out the door until 10:00. Did 70 minutes at 6:30/km pace, the TM training must not be too bad since I had to keep slowing mys...

Re: Stormy Wednesday
I was waiting for one of my employees in Ottawa to call me when the earthquake happened.. she IM'd me just after to say she thought they were evacuating, but they didn't. I am heading to the TM in about 10 minutes for a 40 minute run, and a 10 minute walk. Looking forward to some thinking time....lo...

Re: Yucky Saturday
Not sure what I'm going to do today..have to do something. Likely some yoga and/or a strength session, really it's far too nice for an indoor workout but DH is working all day. :( So far I've taken DD to dancing and gone grocery shopping. We also have some chores to do around the house (take note of...

Re: Vancouver Cycling Route
Seems like a lot of Vancouver area cyclists like to ride out by UBC, you could check out mapmyride.com and look for comments that suggest low traffic area, etc. You could also try sending a PM to el-jeffe http://www.mapmyride.com/search?txtLocation=vancouver%2C+BC&txtKeyword=ubc&lstSortBy=cs...

Re: Who's in for the "GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon"
I am considering it .... it gets a bit expensive to take the whole family over to Victoria for the weekend but I think we're do for a trip to Victoria. :) Yeah, Royal Victoria Marathon sounds much nicer (and they could have kept that name even with the new sponsor!). I agree, Royal Victoria Marathon...

Re: Holiday Monday! May 24 :)
Heading out the door for 60 minutes easy, first outdoor run in about 3 weeks. Actually first run in a week, didn't run at all while we were in NYC the days were too full and we walked probably 10k a day. That felt great... 60 minutes at 6:30/km pace, felt harder than normal 6:30/km pace but that's ...

Re: Gatorade
watered down blue gatorade only on "longer" runs, that is runs over 45 minutes. shorter runs is just water.
my kids have had it (watered down) when they are sick or after a long day of dance or track.

Wow...this thread has me reconsidering running the half even though I haven't trained much the last month. Just kidding, I'm too old and would be paying for months.
Good luck to you digirat! Have fun on your run with JWolf!

Re: Can't Type My Password Tuesday ...
my legs are sore from Sunday's run, my arms are sore from yesterday's strength session, clearly I need to work on my core today. Will be doing an "interval" session on the TM tonight (5-6k), core work, and stretching of course.

12.75k @ 6:23/km pace, a little faster than LSD pace. The good news is that my IT band didn't give me any trouble, it was my best run in a long time. How I just need to keep doing what I am doing so I can continue my "recovery".

DH is down at our lot in the US doing some maintenance so the girls and I have been extra lazy today, trying to catch-up on some work, then some laundry before I drop the girls off at my parents so I can do some Easter shopping. I tried to convince the girls we should go swimming this morning but it...

Have not been able to run since last Sunday. I am going to give it a try today. 14 mile LSD on schedule for this weekend may or may not get done 30 days to race day and :( Got in 7K and, dare I say?, I "think" it felt better than last run on Sunday..................... Was really tight an...
