I wouldn't but then again, with training I am slow enough to qualify as one one of those people who don't actually run (I love elitism in sport ).

I'm going for a run today!!! Of course, as I say that, my kid is in the midst of her longest morning nap ever so who knows when that will actually happen. But I'm putting it out there - I'm going for a run today!!! Hope all the other mommas are doing well! And? How did it go? I did 4.5k today in th...

Good run, AndyM! Uncomfortable and not-so-hot, non-running HRM checking in! I'm full-term tomorrow...yay? I don't think this baby is coming out any time soon, though! Almost there anners! It is like km 40 of a marathon, the last 2.2 are hard but are worth it! I went for my first run in a month (dar...

Those original ones look amazing! I should have tried them yesterday when I had chocolate in the house (vegan chocolate even)... Maybe I need to go get more chocolate? Yes, I totally NEED more chocolate, it is for the good of the family, I say!

That does look yummy! I wonder if they would freeze well? I always quick defrost recipes (in oven- no microwave in our house).

i love Marianne too! I think it's very pretty and classic - but not common. (unlike Charlotte...which is apparently Huffington Post readers' #1 name of the year - I think there will be many little charlottes running around soon). But at least all the smart, left-leaning kids will be Charlottes... i...

I LOVE Marianne! It is such a beautiful name! Of course I'm completely curious what the alternate was but am coming up with nothing that I can think of prettier than Marianne...in fact Pollyanna is all I can think of :) Thanks FG!! I don't want to detract from the original (very yummy) thread, but I still disagree to a large extent and I don't think she is up front enough about it (esp her writings in Huffington Post etc). But, if you both think it is ok, I can't wait to use my credentials inappropriately to give me cred ...

Re: Food Blogs
http://www.summertomato.com is a great website. Some recipes, but mainly insights from a PhD foodie about food/health issues. What bugs me about her is that her PhD is in an area not related to food. I don't like that she she implies (from omission, just stating she is a trained 'scientist') that h...

Sammy, S5, and Jes- glad to know I am not out of line in thinking it is insane! The best part was that the second person invited was my friend who is a single mom. Umm, what is she going to do, leave her toddler daughter at home while she heads out for a drink? I mean, finding a babysitter with less...

I love the updates too. :) I am not running much because I did something weird to my ankle. I don't really know how I did it even, it just started to hurt about 2 weeks ago and goes between hurting a lot and just a bit. I was hoping to get out today but woke up to a 'hurting a lot' day :( Christmas ...

Congrats to your friend JLA. Preemie/early term baby induction is no fun, I am glad everyone is happy and healthy! Sleep issues must be the 'cool' thing with little ones these days. YAY on the run Rockstar! :) How big are our girls? V is about 24lb (at 21 months) and still wears some 12 month pants  . She is mostly in 18-24m clothes, though. Ann, I may have some clothing for V you can borrow. M is about 21ish lbs (I am guessing?) but really really long. Is V long or short?...
