I was looking at the finish for you. Crazy amounts of people yesterday, but a great day for running, not to hot or cold and best of all no wind. I took my dad's advice and started up with the 50-59 right at the front of them but still was struggling to pass walkers I hate that. I would love to help ...

Your Speedy Thoughts Worked
This is my first race report thread. So last night I dropped all three kiddies at the gparents house for a sleepover, as DH is away golfing. Came home and had the longest uninterrupted shower in 7 years, had my prerace dinner of chicken and rice, then sat down and didn't move for 3 hrs, nice. Got up...

Thanks to all for the speedy thoughts. I am going to take on the mantra " run until I puke". My dh, who doesn't run, always says I am to timid and afraid to push it to the limit. Not this Sunday I will push it, I will eat other runners for breakfast, and I will be proud of myself even if I don't mak...

Send Me Speedy Thoughts
I am running the TC 10k this weekend in Victoria. I have run this a few times with 10000 others. This year it is different.. I have been training with the Vancouver Half in mind so long slow runs, hill training and some speed work with the double jogger and two babies. I entered this race to run wit...

Anyone from Victoria, BC
Just wondering if anyone else was from Victoria, or surrounding areas. I would love to start a weekly run together. I am getting a little bored on my long runs.. singing along to my ipod isn't working any more. Not to mention the people who pass me look at me a little weird

How Did I Manage This??
I am not sure but some how in the process of training for the Vancouver Half I have gained 4 pds. I know it is not a huge deal but still. I have spend the past year keeping off the weight I lost after daughter #3. 80 pds in all. Now with increased training 3 days a week to 5 days and longer runs i g...

I am registered in the half and hope to do a PR. I am sooo ready. My darling hubby has been so great about watching the three little ones so I can get my runs in. I love the fact my little girl(2). Gets fired up when she sees my running gear on. " Mommy running??" is her first sentence. How great is...

Why Can't I??
After my LSD runs I really can not eat anything for at least half the day. I force myself to down some water and a banana but most of the time I feel sick even after that. I know I should eat to recover but last week after 16k I was actually sick. I am not running too fast and I eat before so I can'...

Ok I have done this distance before. That was two children ago. I know I can do it even now. So I think I might just go for it. i don't know how pleased hubby would be. It means I have race jitters for two weekends rather then one. I tend to get a one track mind right before a race and forget other ...

Please tell me when my last LSD for the 1/2 ??
I am doing the Vancouver half in May, my training is up to 16 k m this week. I am wondering when my last LSD run should be and how to taper down after that. The last half I did was two babies ago and even then I think we did our last long run very early in the training. Please help??
