But in general your best bet is train with a good track club/group-- hopefully your school team and coach will be enough. hey man , those are decent times for your age . I did a lot of speed workouts..I did 3 a week , monday , wednesday , and friday. at first my body wasst used to it and for the first week I was tired..but in the end it payed off and all the speed work payed off and helped me get to offsaa reginals in ...

I am in the same situation. I have injured my foot and not been running in over a week , and I probably wont be back to running for another week, or so. Since I cant run right now , I spend more time on core workouts and also I am in the pool more. They both help out with running so I stay motivated...

hey fotokar , welcome! I have ran in shox , when I started running cross country I ran in my normal shoes ..and at that time the were shox.
