But in general your best bet is train with a good track club/group-- hopefully your school team and coach will be enough. It's the coach's job to give you workouts and a running schedule that will get you faste...

that sucks .. I had a stress fracture in cross season last year , I was not happy , after cross season I had to take almost 8 weeks off.

That was the longest 8 weeks of my life

I got my 10k run in this morning , while it was still nice and dark, ran it at a good pace for coming off of an injury..clocked a 40:32. As for tonight..I think im going to hit the pool or the weight room.

hey man , those are decent times for your age . I did a lot of speed workouts..I did 3 a week , monday , wednesday , and friday. at first my body wasst used to it and for the first week I was tired..but in the end it payed off and all the speed work payed off and helped me get to offsaa reginals in ...

I dont think it would do anything , but if it were me , I would be thinking about it in the back of my mind before the race because I always seem to worry about little stuff at big races.

I am in the same situation. I have injured my foot and not been running in over a week , and I probably wont be back to running for another week, or so. Since I cant run right now , I spend more time on core workouts and also I am in the pool more. They both help out with running so I stay motivated...

hey fotokar , welcome! I have ran in shox , when I started running cross country I ran in my normal shoes ..and at that time the were shox. My experience with shox was not the best , they seemed heavy and my feet were always in pain. I agree with eme , go to your local running store and get your fee...
