Re: 2012 - Run for the Toad - registration open!
The race directors that work the hardest are at it again. If you have not done the Toad it is time, if you are afraid of the trails, they are mild by trail standards. If you like to run alone this is not the run for you. Come out and join the 1,200 or so and have a great day. You will see the best o...

In person registration went smoothly, it is always great to get runners feedback, and to meet the people who are going to enter for the first time. Now over 520 entrants and planning for 1,000 by Boxing Day.
see you on race day,

Thanks for the news. I thought that I crashed the site last night when I was posting about the Boxing Day 10 miler. I went to post and POOF! There was no site. So I posted again 6 hours later and things were good and my mind was at ease.

Running great Friesen dies suddenly Jerry Friesen died doing what he loved. The 51-year-old Grimsby resident died suddenly Wednesday morning while doing what he did best — running. Whether it was enjoying his passion on the streets of Grimsby, or organizing races, there wasn’t a day Friesen wasn’t i...

Vote for your favourite event
Get out there magazine is holding their annual poll. Make your e-mail count. I have already voted, you should too. Smaller events can really use the extra publicity as they have smaller budgets to work with. Email info@getouttheremag.com with the name of a race you think stands out above the rest! A...

Continue on your recovery. The soft trail in the Toad I find much kinder on my joints than pavement. I hope to see you at the Boxing Day 10 miler in Hamilton.

Re: Run for the Toad 50km
I still don't know how you convince yourself to go out for that fourth lap after you run by all those 25k'ers enjoying their post race social. Enjoy your recovery before you are out there again. It turned out to be a great day for running, I left Niagara Falls in pouring rain that morning, but of co...

Re: tortoise continues his recovery at the "Toad"
The Run for the Toad is the best organized race and continues to improve every year. It was great to see those 1,000 plus runners and walkers passing me at the finish line. Planning is going well for the Boxing Day 10 miler, we hope to see you there.

Boxing Day 10 miler in Hamilton Ontario.
1,000 runners and walkers, and what is more Canadian than a winter 10 miler, this will be the 91st.
I may be a bit biased as I am the race director

Re: A little hot at Limberlost
I got it easy as watching all the runners go away and come back, just making sure that they all crossed the timing matts. It is amazing that after finishing the event that most of the runners still had a smile to give. A well run event that was enjoyed by almost everyone, there was a spectator that ...

Announcement in Guelph on March 1st. It should be a great event even if you come out to the course to watch these runners try to earn a spot in London. Eric Gillis and Rob Watson are previous winners of the Boxing Day 10 miler. It looks good that Allan Brooks went out to recuit these guys to run in ...

90th Boxing Day 10 miler
The 90th Boxing Day 10 miler was the largest to date with 1,096 athletes registered. Many runners and walkers return annually to end their year with this well organized event. The seventy volunteers of the Hamilton Harriers worked hard to put on a well organized event. The weather this year was cold...

Alfie: It was great to see you as always. Glad to read that you had a great result. The footing was dry this year and you would have had plenty of company during the race. Hopefully your GO train ride went well. I am not sure of how many entrants use the GO train, but it is a great no drive option. ...
