8k hill run last night followed by shoulder/legs/core workout. Wasn't supposed to exercize because I had a tooth pulled earlier in the afternoon but took a chance. More hills and strenght work tonight.

Not sure if this applies but every foot strike actually seems to "slow" the belt down a minute amount depending on weight and running style of runner. I know this is a very small amount but multiplied by thousands of foot strikes it might come into play. This would be apparent more so on a...

I eat gummie bears as fuel on my long runs, I drink gatorade which I carry in my hands on long training runs...I do most of my training in the winter on the TM.
