I would choose the Bluenose. Unless you enjoy doing repeat loops of out & backs... ;) Fredericton is a flat (but pretty) out & back x2. The Bluenose is more challenging by far, a bigger event and well, it's in the best city in Canada! :D Besides I'm here, what more could you ask for? ;) :P

I haven't set up the trainer yet either. As little as I've been doing anything, it's been too easy to just not. I NEED to get a plan in place and work the plan!

Ian, I am very proud of you, most especially for being able to walk after a stunning PB. :) As I said before, I had no doubt in my mind you'd PB and good. Well done! Sorry I didn't make the trek, but I'd spent enough time in the car already this weekend, and well, someone had to be home to meet the ...

fun ride

So today I got out for a morning ride and was reminded of two things: 1-why I love cycling and 2-why I love autumn in Nova Scotia I took out my mountain bike, but knowing I'd be mostly on asphalt and/or gravel, I checked to be sure the tires were firmly inflated. I took off and had some pain in my k...

Just as I have been afraid of, it seems that there really is not enough interest for us to pull together two teams from RM. Unless more interested runners sign up soon, we may be out of luck, "fun-runners". I'm willing to wait things out for the next few weeks, but if we don't have a full slate of r...

But when they are now turning away teams, it would be rough to have two teams planning to share 8 runners or so......just my $0.02. As a potential team co-captain, I have no intention of sharing 8 runners with anyone. (I didn't think this comment was directed at me specifically, just adding my thou...

I took five months off running this year due to an injury. During that time I did more cycling, weights, elliptical and hiking. Now that I can run again, I have made the decision (for now) only to run a couple of days a weeks and continue mixing it up a lot more with my other activities. My Gym has...

change in discipline

I'm taking a break from running. I think my body (especially knees) needs a break. Will only go for short runs when I really want to. Planning to get back on the bike/trainer and take out the yoga mat. Just need to get the motivation/discipline to make it routine... :?

Thanks everyone. I was pretty stiff and sore yesterday. Today is improved a bit. no more racing on so little training... I'm thinking I'm going to focus on yoga and the bike for a while, and just do run short runs once or twice/week until I feel like I'm in better shape and ready to try a new runnin...

Trish rocks the OIM Half for Team Diabetes! PIX ADDED

I’m going to keep this short, as this really isn’t about the run, it’s about the cause. The run was just a celebration of having accomplished the goal to support the Canadian Diabetes Association. All that matters now is that I am done! This means tomorrow I get to go see my beloved sister whom I ha...

Good luck anyhow :D I'm still in for the Half. :shhh: Let's hope I can walk when it's over.
