Re: 2014 WDW Marathon Weekend Has Gone Dopey

What was the debacle in the half last year? They weren't letting people start the walk from the staging area to the corrals until 4:30, and they weren't doing it in any particular order, so with that many people, it quite literally took over an hour to get there, and some folks didn't make it to th...

Re: 2014 WDW Marathon Weekend Has Gone Dopey

Security as well? I'm not sure about the set up - but my guess is that would be the main reason. Possibly .... good point, Lisa .... They are probably worried I might sneak up into a faster corral. :shifty: The actual start line is just a couple minutes walk from Old Key West so you could leave muc...

I second the Firewall! I have a Firewall 220, but this year's 220 doesn't have any reflectivity - I had a huge crush on last year's Firewall 260 but couldn't justify it since I already own the 220.

I'm a newbie! I actually found this thread on google. Such a small world since I'm addicted to 1) Race bling 2) David's Tea! Can't wait to hear all about your advent calendars. I wasn't lucky enough to get one, Boo hoo!

Welcome! I also missed out on the calendar.

Re: David's Tea Advent Calendar 2013

I didn't enjoy it last year. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as some of my other favourite herbals from DAVIDs. I've never bought it either. I'm skipping the ones I've tried before and know I don't like them (or that they don't thrill me) and saving them to send to my sister so she can try som...

Don't get discouraged. That sounds exactly like my first experience (@5:19). I remember people telling me "hey - you did it and that's more than most other people can say" and I only half appreciated it at the time. But it's true - you did something amazing, something that isn't natural, ...

(Although for the record, I am getting closer to choosing to spend some of my disposable income on a housekeeping service. Yet another series of choices.) Been thinking about this myself.... I did this back when I had a real job (and disposable income ) and it was worth every penny. [/hijack]

The weather forecast looks terrific...Sunny, low -1, high 4, winds NW15kph.

Of course, that is right on the border line for me between pants vs. capris, vest vs. jacket... :shifty:

Not to sound like a variety of 4-7 letter expletives, but I do these things for myself. Yeah, it's nice when there's a charity that benefits, but mostly, it's something I do for me. It may sounds selfish, but I don't think I'm the only one. Not to mention, I don't even think Color Me Rad even said ...
