Hot, hot, hot in SE Alberta. It got to 36C today, thankfully I was done 13k when it was still "only" 27.

(Not so) Melting Monday

Cooling down to a high of 30 today which is still hot, not just as hot as 35-37. We have strong winds from the NW so I think we may be getting some BC smoke, although I can't be sure. I still stayed in on the treadmill, I just don't do well with faster running and heat (and now maybe smoke). 16k don...

Re: Made it out of bed SATURDAY

I was up and at the pool by 7:45 to be a timer for Alberta Special Olympics. It was a long day, I'm beat and it's a repeat for tomorrow! Rest day today and probably tomorrow.

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA, Saturday

Our group this morning did over 150km. We totaled it to 150.2, but then realized we forgot one gal that didn't stay for brunch after, so add another 5km to that total! We all had red shirts on and a stranger offered to take our picture. It was fun. I contributed 13km to that total.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA, Saturday

I hope every one gets out today and does something to celebrate this great country we live in and call home.
We are headed out for a run about 9 and then brunch with the group. Maybe we can get enough of us out to total our mileage to 150km for today's run.

Re: Tempo Friday

I don't know what got into me this morning. Mile 1 was the usual slow barely breaking 13 min/mile. But then.... mile 2 at 11:25. Mile 3 at 11:07. Mile 4 at 10:21. Mile 5 at 10:59. I forgot to look at mile 6. Mile 7 was slower at 11:27, but still, wow! All this in steamy Seabrook where the low at ni...
