Re: Boston Registration HELP!
Well I may have a bib to sell or I am not registered yet! I hit “Submit” and it came back to a blank registration form, I did it again and the same thing happened. Anyone have any success …can you tell me what happens after you hit “Submit”? I didn’t receive a confirmation email(s) yet so I suspect...

Who said anything about a Marathon
I have a couple of Goals for 2012 and the first of which is to run a sub-9hr 50 miler, hoping to do it at Seaton April 16/11. That is my focus for the next 6 months.
Awesome goal Strider! Go for it!

Re: Boston Marathon who is running 2011?
Taking the year off. I know it will kill me, but there is another race around the same time I am focusing on. Like 2010, it will sort of be a relief when Boston is sold out and I'm no longer semi-rationalising to myself how I could do two marathons close together. .. What is the marathon you two ar...

Hill Training today, 4 x a short steep one. I always love the faces on the people trudging home from work when they watch me sprint up a hill, pass them, then turn around and jog down the same hill, just to do it again! Sometimes we runners are nuts!

Sorry to hear about your injury, Angela.
The rest of you seem ready to go! The sunshine this morning made me wish it was not a rest day, but I can feel some fatigue in my arms and core from the strength workout yesterday, so I suspect a Rest Day will do me some good.
Have a great Friday, maniacs!

Re: Wanna Go Fast? Get Bigger? Go Vegan
So because we can't prove that veggies don't "feel", you'll just assume they don't. Could it just be that we can't understand how plants communicate things like pain? There is evidence that plants do react to being attacked (i.e. eaten), and can communicate with neighbouring plants so tha...

I was waiting to hear how you did - that wind was probably the difference maker. That is still a strong marathon result - you know without the wind you would have made it!

I agree with what all the maniacs above me have written - your training looks solid, your pace sounds realistic - run patiently and confidently until the finish line (at 4 hours and 30 minutes)!

I was wondering if any of you know if hill training = stair training...my training plan calls for hills but I have some awesome stairs in my neighbourhood. Can 3 x stairs replace 3 x hills?
