Mississauga10K

This race was the anniversary of my racing debut last year so I was looking forward to running it again. The weather all day was nasty with t-storms rolling through and gusty winds. The storms had mostly passed by race time, but the wind was a factor. I was looking for a tail wind from the west, but...

looks like there might be some nasty weather for the 10K tonight. Does the race still go in a t-storm? Not too worried about rain, but lightning???...I hope that everyone has better weather Sunday morning

results are in - video gait analysis

I had a gait analysis done today, and it was an interesting experience. I haven't been having any major problems lately but I do eventually want to start increasing mileage and I have had some minor lower leg soreness, so I wanted to see if there were any biomechanical issues to be aware of. The goo...

b_squared's first report - oakville 10K

The inaugural Oakville Mercedes Benz 10K race sold out at 1000 racers; no race expo but the free tech shirt and new balance socks that were picked up with the kit on race day are nice. The morning started cool, about 10 degrees, overcast, and damp after a previous night of howling wind and thunderst...

Hi Hezzy, great question. I am in about the same boat as you in terms of race and 4 runs/week schedule, and also wanting to solidify base for the fall, so I am interested in the replies too. I came across a pretty clear summary of some conservative plans for how to maintain/increase running base: go...

I’m new to RM and haven’t posted often, but I am really interested in this thread and the relation between injury and age. FWIW, I am getting the sense that there actually is a threshold effect ...
