I just can't get my head around the late-evening run, and the early evening I spend cooking and spending time with MrsBG and our DD. As much as I abhor getting up early in the morning, it's the only time that works for me consistently. Last week, we were house-and-dogsitting for some friends, and I ...

It's the Saturday of the Toronto Marathon weekend, and the last event in the Canada Running Series (in the GTA anyway), I believe.

I hear it's hilly. I can't decide whether to do it or do the half again.

[jamming the lid open on this kettle of fish] I saw an article today in the Star about how none of the Canadian networks even BID to air the 2006 Commonwealth Games (from Melbourne) -- so assuming any of our athletes have the funding to go there, we're not going to get to see them, anyway. http://ww...

There is a sound that no sane person wants to hear when they're running through the woods, and it ain't Dueling Banjos . So here I was approaching the farthest point of a route that should have been 8-10K, on a multi-use trail in the wilds of Scarborough, when the thunder started. I picked up the pa...

Well, uncle visa had more of an interval workout today (2 major purchases) than an LSD. I got a gorgeous skirt at Zara and bought Dave lunch (his condition for joining me). Didn't get the hot heels, but I tried a pair that were just too pricey in the end. BUUUTTT... I found them online for only 79 ...

No kidding -- want to see the membership grow exponentially? Nothing like a workout log to keep people coming back day after day (although it's not like that's going to be a problem in this community, I can tell).

Art school dropout with a lot of desktop experience and some web. But I'll happily defer to any 'real' artists.

Not looking forward to the climb up that hill! It's actually an interesting climb if you do Lee to Glen Ames to Southwood to Kingston. It sort of never ends  Welcome (in advance) to the neighborhood. It's not as gentrified as the triangle, but it's getting there. Be warned, though: we don't h...

It was Jacob's post about his new orange Pumas that started the whole controversy over at the other forum. I don't want to build this place on a negative foundation. I agree. I know a lot of really insightful posters on the other board happened to not agree with Jacob on the 'big issue'. It would b...

Here's a suggestion, although I don't know if it's configurable. when you go in to post, it has the "Topic Review" at the bottom, but the "Author" name doesn't show up. Since not everyone signs their posts, it's hard to tell who wrote what without backing up. The usernames are there, they're just i...

I parked my beater in front of Endurosport on Sunday when I went out for my long run -- when I got back, there was a sandwich board out front advertising a bike maintenance clinic. The irony was SO not lost on me.
