Re: The Official Haliburton Thread

According to the weather network, long forecast for Saturday is nice and dry with a high of 20 C. Normally good but i would of preferred wet and miserable, gives me a good excuse for being extra slow. Looks like I'll have to find an other reason for being back there. Can't wait for the start. See y...

Re: The Official Haliburton Thread

I suggest those of you staying at the park have a meet-and-greet at 7:00 pm on friday at the cookhouse porch. Last year I spoke briefly to Mike about getting up in the morning, (we were sleeping in our cars), but never introduced ourselves and didn't realize we were online acquaintances. The back o...

Sooo....What's your prediction time or goal for Haliburton Ultra?

I'm going for a 8 hours for the 50 Miller, if my legs can keep up with my ego.

Re: Ultra Friendly Sport Clinic

Hi everyone, Does anyone know of a Doctor/Clinic in the Downtown-ish Toronto area that is understanding of Ultra runners? My current clinic is ok, but the doctor said "Ah, you're one of those" after I told him about my mileage. So even though I'm relatively injury free right now, I'm planning ahead...

I have a similar training plan but it's hard to do 32k and then 45-50km runs... I've been doing just one long run on the week-end of 45-50k. Last year and in the beginning of this summer I was doing double 30's For me it's allot harder to recover from a 45-50km than doing the shorter double 30's

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the Gatineau Park (NCC) makes thing more complicated than it really is....They are not receptive to new events.

I would love to see an Ultra-trail in the Park
