10 miler - Victoria Day

If anyone is looking for a small fun event on Victoria Day I highly recommned this race. This year is the 51st running and they do it up right. It is point to point run with busing to the start line. If you can find Alvinston on Goggle Maps look straight north and there is Watford. The route is dire...

lx2run PBs ATB

The day started out with me coughing up a lung to try to clear up the tightness I had been experiencing the last few days. With that out of the way I made my way to section 122 with my sister (a non-maniac) to get ready. Thanks to those that made her feel welcome. I started closer to the front this ...

Sorry I missed you this year.

Some days our bodies don't match our mind's ambition. Sounds like you had a day like that but stilla respectable time. I hope to hear some good reports of your progress this season.

Wow Holly that's great. I was at the up (took the train) a few years back and as I stood there gasping for air I asked myself "what kind of person would run up to the top of this"? I guess you answered my question. Good luck in the training :!: Make sure you visit the Garden of the Gods while you ar...

runningmaina exposure - Sarnia Observer

A good article in the local Sarnia paper about Canadian Running Mag and the cover girl (a local girl makes good story) http://www.theobserver.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=934334 A particularly like this paragraph "The first issue of Canadian Running magazine tells also tell the story of Danny Kassap, a ...

very doable if you are trained and ready are they both "A" races? If you treat one (maybe the 2nd) as just a long run My only concern would be if you have never run this distance before you might not be totaly recovered. I know a few crazies who did 10 of those in 10 weeks, some 2 a weekend

Way to go Trixee. I can attest to the wind today in Sarnia. Straight out of the west and blowing hard.

Good for you to finish this one.

Question
Did you sign up for ATB? Maybe I should reconsider or at least expect the worst for the weather. :)

50K would probably do it for me this year. That would be my first race over 42.2 and it would not be my "A" race of the year.

Sulpher Springs Elevation

Does anybody have an elevation chart / garmin read-out of the 20K loop at Sulpher Springs.

I was talking to a guy at work about doing it this year and he was interested but we both wondered what the elevation change is.

Just heard this on the radio and came here to post but you beat me to it :D

Seems like Boston is lowering the standards and going for the celebrity crowd. 2 hours slower than your qualifying time is a stretch IMHO.

At least Lance qualified fair and square.
