Re: Toronto Waterfront Pacers

There are still a few spots left, for the full marathon, in the slow times. I just got the 5:00. There will be free shoes. Ron Ron-- I am the 4 hour pace bunny so I may see you there. Hopefully only before the start and not at the finish. Nice that Adidas is doing the free shoes again for the pace ...

I love these things. Got some a couple of years ago in Boston. Technology is interested. Absorption is through the lining of your mouth directly into the bloodstream--avoids the whole digestion thing. Really quick acting. And they are super transportable--pack fits into the key pocket of shorts. Han...

What I like is: 1) once again, actual runners on the cover. 2) good promo of elite Canadian athletes 3) good factual article on the Olympic standard debate 4) good feature on races and running routes It is a nicely meaty magazine with a good Canadian spice. My ...

I feel so small ONLY running two marathons in three weeks. What was I thinking--I should aim for something substantial. :D

Thanks for the validation. Any one running around 4 hours at Scotia--I will be one wearing the ears and carrying the sign.

As a member of the Marathon Maniacs, I am wondering why you are only doing the two. Niagara Falls is at the end of October, so why not add that one to the list and qualify to become a member!! Groucho Marx once said, "I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me as a member". :D Might go for...

I saw them running along Highway 1 in Saskatchewan on June 10th as I was driving across the country from BC (and I found that tiring enough). Passed a lone runner with no water bottle literally out in the middle of nowhere, and I was wondering where the **** he came from when I passed the van waitin...

The Toronto Double

Am planning to run both Toronto Marathons this fall, using the Toronto Scotia as my last long run before Toronto the Other three weeks later. The spacing seems perfect to try this, and to ensure that I hold a nice even, tempered pace, I am a pace bunny in the Toronto Scotia...no sprints to the finis...
