Re: Gosh, I miss running...

CAW posted a link today that may or may not be applicable: http://www.saltyrunning.com/2014/01/24/5-ways-running-tells-might-depressed/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm not a gym member, but I have a punch pass to use the indoor track. Is there a rec centre in your area that might ...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

re: sleepers, I actually found the snaps ones way more handy, since you can unsnap just the bottom of the baby for a bum change, as opposed to undoing the entire sleeper. If I were designing zipper sleepers for newborns, the zipper would be in upside down. I didn't use any of the fancy swaddler blan...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Thanks ladies!! We tried some more out in store and found a relatively inexpensive one that looks and felt right for us (I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head...). It helped to have all your suggestions in my head when we were there. I also liked that it was a relatively inexpens...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Smiles, I've tried both the BOB and Sara's bumbleride and I prefer the BOB. Not just because it's mine, but I feel it is weighted better and isn't as long. I did feel it to be a bot awkward. YMMV. Me too, and I prefer the Bumbleride. I find it easier to steer :) I never noticed a difference in leng...

My stroller is similar to the BOB, but it has an adjustable handle. It was very helpful since I am 5'7" and Dan is 6'1".

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

I use a bucket style seat when they are wee, and have the carseat bar for my bumbleride. The bumbleride folds nicely, and I don't find it cumbersome, but I am also 5'7" and have long arms to throw it in the back to the Durango. It also fits in the trunk of a Sunfire. I have the Bumbleride Indie...

Re: Surviving Indoor Trainer H-E-double-hockeystick

The turbocrank site looks great! I will be using those!

I was trying to find good workout videos on youtube, but only found one so far. I need some kind of workout with prompts, as I will just easy easy super easy spin if watching a TV show or movie.

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

I found during baby growth spurts, I was 1) more exhausted than usual and 2) ridiculously thirsty.

Making milk is apparently tough work! And tired is just my normal. I don't remember what it is like to feel rested.

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

After John, I lost nothing. After Damon, I didn't start really losing until I had weaned him. With Mo, I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but still about 10 lb up of my ideal. However, I am happy where I am right now, and am not worried about losing anything else until she weans. I look good, esp...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Confession: My last run was Nov. 28th, and it was a short treadmill run. Snow + cold + dark + my regular November blues + head/chest cold = zero motivation. The boys start preschool in January, and I have set it up so that I have time with both of them in preschool that I can put Mo in childcare and...

Congrats Denise and Jesse! Omg, I'm so out of the loop! I delivered a baby girl on November 24th, Alina, so my mind is totally gone right now. Congratulations to you, too!! Beautiful name :) I think soon we are going to need picture updates from everyone. I am sure some of these maniac babies are g...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

I didn't know Morgan's gender, and that was not for lack of trying. I burst into happy tears when they announced "she's here". It was also good since we could not agree on a boy name and went to the hospital without one!

I'm so excited for more babies :)

Thanks everyone! We're very excited...but probably Charlotte most of all! Every time she sees my belly, she exclaims "babeeeee!" and gives it a big hug. When we first told her, she instantly announced "Maybe I should get a diaper for the baby. And the baby needs a blanket too" a...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

How's everyone's running going? I'm going to be arranging preschool in January so that I have 2 opportunities/week to run on the indoor track. Then I just have to fit in the 3rd run, and since we are not doing Sunday swimming, I will have that day. I have been fairly consistent, but felt really run ...

I think Kerry was trying to get rid of her trainer on FB?

I have an Elite Fluid something-or-other. The really nice thing about it is that it folds up and is very easily transportable. Very handy for spin class.

I'll be in for 2015. If they hold the race on the same weekend in 2015, then race day will be my 40th birthday :)

I may be there cheering in 2014, depending on when I get out there for the summer.

Just dropped by to say I'm a Great Aunt three times now. My niece had baby number 3 yesterday. She has two boys (age 4 and 2.5) and was absolutely sure no. 3 was a boy. She had a girl and this time decided she didn't want to know the gender before. When Baby Girl (no name yet) was born she asked he...
