Ended up getting 19.5 km of the 25 km scheduled done in horrible, snowy conditions -- the hamstrings were just YELLING for the last 4 km!! 2.5 hours of running in slippery conditions and deep snow! I'll feel that tomorrow for sure!!

Sounds like the conditions were tough (HOT!), but you are even tougher!! Great job on yet another marathon, Ken -- you simply never cease to amaze!!

Was out the door bright and early this morning to attend a winter trail running clinic -- was chilly, for sure, but great fun! And tried out the new snowshoes on a short run -- great fun!!

I had seen something similar a year or so ago, and the cheaper one was actually refurbished -- so you may want to check into that before you order!

Training for the 100-miler has begun (in its early stages), so December should be around 250 km!

21 km run done --

-21 with the windchill this a.m. -- it is now dinner time, and I'm still not warmed up!

November is still a "recovery/maintenance" month -- training for my next 100 miler starts the last week of November, so I will be just North of 200 km. There will be some swimming, some weight workouts and some exercise classes -- keeping it fun and diverse until the real work begins!! :D...

Today is my last day at my current job (our office closes its doors today)

I have many thoughts and feelings going through my head today..... Looking forward to what lies ahead!!

So I'm up to all kinds of silliness today -- will be joining a group for a 16 km run this morning, and then I will be trying my FIRST spin class (a little scared here), and then a marathon in the kitchen, as I chop and prep for a fondue with friends tonight -- Yummy!! Have a great day y'all!!

That you SO MUCH Chris for this -- it was exactly the input I was looking for...... DEFINITELY will not be doing both -- I will be doing Sulphur in the May, and then a second one in the fall -- that's enough for me in one season..... :shock: :D Still leaning towards Hali so that I have time to throw...
