12k today. Now for taper week which will be taken seriously in an all inclusive sunny resort.

I think it's a good challenge. Run your best effort and negative split to win a pair of shoes as an added bonus.

To purposely run a slower front half to get a pair of shoes - why bother? Save the entry fee and go buy a pair.

9k this morning to kick off a 3 week mini cycle for an October marathon. It will be my first one in Kelowna as Victoria was always my choice for a Fall marathon.

Today called for 1 x 42.2k at MP. Ran it fairly evenly with a 30 second positive split and a BQ for 2017.

Started September with my final workout of this training cycle. 16k at GMP in a 19k run.

16k @ GMP. 19k total. It was delicious.

An easy 10k at lunch.

Did 19k with 16k @ GMP. It was a good run as PE felt the same but the pace was faster than last week. This was also my pace when I was doing 11k tempo runs back in June so progress is being made.

Rest day.

18k with 14.5k @ GMP. Nice early morning run before it got too warm.

I was happy there was cloud cover for my 17.5 / 14.5@GMP run early this morning.
