Re: Your typical weekly swimm?

Right now, swimming 2x a week. Around 8 or 9 km in total, because of JFK

I improved a lot this summer by swimming 4x a week. Around 18 km

After JFK, I'll go back to 3x a week and probably 4x after Xmas. I want to go under 1 hour at my next Iron.

Right one. Chocolate Milk is the cheapest recovery drink. If you want more protein, add some powder from http://wheydepot.com/

Sorry, I liked Florida but training in late September and October is not always fun. And darkness falls too early for those loops in the Gatineau.

Re: Heather's Ironman Canada Report

Is Jeff also starting P90X? Yes, we are both doing the full thing including the nutrition plan. The only difference is I am also going to be training 8-10 hours per week for the Victoria Marathon, in addition to the P90X, and Heather plans to do a modified "FIRST" running program. The P90...

Nice choice. The reviews I'm reading on that bike rank it as one of the best values around. This last paragraph in the article is interesting because I'd venture that there are many of us who don't experience a lot of discomfort in races. We race at (relatively) the same pace we train at. Mostly that's because the distance itself is the challenge (21.1L, 42.2K, 140.6 miles), so intensity ...
