I also use them is smoothies. You can mix them in water, can't remember what the ratio is I think I tbsp chia, 3tbsp water as an egg replacement in baking.

Never seen the magazine but eat clean. Nothing packaged. Lara bars are about the only packaged thing that I eat. Also don't eat dairy, eggs, beef or pork.

The only reason I would do it this way is because I wake up starving and need a quick breakfast, if I had to wait for the steel cut oats to cook in the morning I would eat my arm off prior so it is nice to wake up to an already cooked breakfast.
