Re: Ottawa Race Weekend
And who would meet up with me?? If you can fly 4+ hours to come east to race, I can drive 4+ hours to come meet you. :) Lots of RM-ers do this race, so you'll have lots of people to meet up with. And I can drive 2 hours to meet you...you're a Maniac I've wanted to meet for years! If La and Jo-Jo ca...

Re: Downtown Ottawa
I moved along the canal in February and I couldn't be happier with the running location! I'm actually between the canal and the river, so I have two great options. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn't line up with yours, but there always seem to be folks out running! Keep me in mind regardless Scrumh...

Would love to, but, but, your shortest races appear to be only 50K's ?? Ha!!!  :shifty:  and I didn't even run that, went down under that week instead, so the shortest was 55k. Umm, don't think we could even fit in your runs in the morning, let alone a day? Ha !! :) :P What start...

Ran the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign 5K race at lunch today and wound up with a huge personal best. I was very happy as I hadn't really prepared for the race at all (found out about it a short time ago and decided to run it as one of my weekly runs) and the course was also alo...

Congratulations, on another marathon, Ken ... Did you talk to Gilbert about race strategy during lunch, perhaps? Wait is over. BAA website says 2:28 or better. That's me out for 2016 but watch out 2017 - I WILL be there. bummer! (but makes me feel a bit better about my 52 seconds over, which was really 3:20 away) We'll get there! YES we will! But, but, if you wait 'til 2018, I may make it there myself, once I...

Sorry to hear about your health issues and wishing you the best with your treatment and recovery. Re: Not another one...?
But we like Clara Hughes, she is inspirational and she is Canadian. That is the difference. I tend to agree. We loved Silken Laumann, too. And Ben Johnson for 9.79 seconds. Love to hear an explanation of the silent acceptance of the silent sanction. Odd passive acceptance. Till this day, Carl Lewis...
