Re: Sunday's Run in the Rain

60 minute run in the sun this morning, it is the perfect relaxing temperature... but a little warm (for me) for running. Of course if I had have gotten my butt out the door earlier..... Pace was unexpectedly faster than I had planned 6:30/km pace, had planned for 6:45/km pace. Now I just need to be ...

Re: 100 Days of Summer: are you in?

We bought a badminton set this weekend, the girls are loving it. They spent a lot of Sunday outside. Even took youngest one to the park to play volleyball and throw a football around. Surprisingly oldest DD (the dancer girly girl), loves to play football. She even got a touchdown at school yesterday...

Italian eggplant (big, thick and dark purple) or Asian eggplant (small, thin, light purple)? I find that Asian eggplant is easier to cook with and doesn't absorb as much oil as the Italian eggplant. Italian. I think I am just going to try grilling it as I don't have a lot of ingredients in the hous...

Eggplant??

So, I decided to be adventurous and bought eggplant yesterday. Anyone have any suggestions on how I should cook it? or a good "healthy" recipe they can share? The key word there is "healthy". ;)

Re: 100 Days of Summer: are you in?

I like the idea of being active for 100days. My pocket book certainly can't afford to do all those activities. Joe would be impressed that "fly fishing" is included on the list. our edited playlist will be a lot less costly! i think we will kick it off with yoga out on the deck tomorrow. ...

60 minutes run done on the TM this morning, just over 8.5k for an average speed of 7:00/km. Very slow but still taking it easy, left knee has been bugging me a bit.

Now to enjoy the rest of the day.

I'm another advocate of a buying a TM. I work, long hours at times, and have a busy family life. However, not near as busy as you and I have a tough time getting my runs in. I try not to "pressure" myself into getting 4+ runs in per week because that just adds more stress. I am not a morni...

Re: Monday again

My 5min run/ 5 min walk went well yesterday, did 60 minutes and had no issues/pain with the ankle afterwards. So it's recovery "run" today, it'll likely be more of a walk since I don't want to overdue it on the ankle. Will also do some strenth, core, and maybe yoga (or hot tub ;) ).

Re: Friday, change is a comin'.....

Starting the new year off right, Marg! Vacation and a new job!! Congratulations! Have a great vacation!

Today will be an easy day, legs are quite sore from 3 harder days, so I'll likely just do a core workout and some yoga. And, maybe a hot tub to help relax the muscles. ;)

TGIF!!
