Re: Half-Mary's Vancouver Half 2012

Way to smash that PB. :) It was great to talk to you after about it and then read the details here. I'm glad we got to spend more time together this weekend. You forgot the part about how you said you had a "six-minute PB." "Um, honey- that's eight minutes!" :) . If only I had b...

This wasn't the race you hoped for, I know that. I love that you still really enjoyed the whole weekend, good work. No wonder you are stuck with such residual soreness, the cramps are horrible for that. Rest up and come back with a vengeance. You can figure out the hills and post a smokin fast time ...

Re: 4 Dark Suits, 3 Strangers, 2 Paramedics and 1 Fire Truck

I did not hear the story of Marc so it was really neat to read it although not neat to read about the ambulance! Here is what I like: You had an amazing training cycle and trained with no regrets You raced a brave race, you went out seeking a goal and even though it felt hard, you tried to achieve i...

BMO Vancouver 2012

I debated if I would post a race report but there were things I wanted to say about Vancouver. the locals Thanks so much for hosting us again, especially Jwolfe who is always so welcoming and seems to manage to help all of us enjoy the best parts of Vancouver. Re: Hammie DNFs in Vancouver

My heart sank when I logged on and saw the title of this thread. You're so right - you've had a fabulous training cycle, you're a stronger, faster runner, and some days, the marathon just wins. :( Take care of yourself! THIS! Awww hammie, shucks. It sucks. I was so sad to hear this. The training cy...

Re: BMO Vancouver Marathon thread

Sorry S5 but I think they are right. It goes by what you put down as your estimated time. I suspect for Stampie's registration the clinic put down an estimated time, maybe 4:00, which might not be what he is actually planning on running but is faster than Running Goddesses. From the website: Start ...

My bib # is finally available: 15151. I do exist after all! :D interesting on their numbering method - you registered this late and got a lower bib number than me! LOL! I think the bib numbers are linked to your estimated finish time, so that they can load everyone into corrals by race number rathe...

N is going to be very tough. Alex can take Timmy in a wrestling match and hold his own! He also seldom cries when he falls, bumps into things, etc. S5 - you are always welcome here. I love hearing about gender stereotypes for kids. As I have two boys, I've done a bit of reading/listening on how to ...

could the frosting be made two days in advance, or is that too far? I'm trying to plan how I can make it for my birthday, but I'll be at work the night before... Looking at it I really can't see why not. You'll leave it in the fridge. When you go to use it it is likely you will need to mix it a bit...
