Out to do 5 x hills tonight. Will keep my eyes open for those run pubbers that lurk around the Beaches area. :D

Easy Run on the schedule today. I think I need a new mattress - ugh - futons don't cut it when you are almost 46.

Good luck today, Barbara.

I am up early to Skype with my son in Japan, then I have a pretty short (12 km) LSD to do. Then report cards! Yaa hoo!

I have a 35 minute fartlek run today - not sure how far that will take me!

Arghh shorter days kill me - I love my job but hate getting up in the darkness. **sigh** come back, summer!

Re: What is it about a race bib...

I like the crowd support, and the volunteers - these random strangers always give me a burst of energy and general well-being just by being there. No one cheers me along Leslie Spit (a long, quiet stretch of land on Toronto's waterfront)!

Sunny but cold here in T.O., going to do an Easy Run after work, with strength and core workout after. I need to make sure my Easy Run doesn't become a Tempo like it did yesterday.

Home from work, just having something to rehydrate and then heading out for a gentle 5 kms. Beautiful weather out there!

Re: Scarey Sunday

10 kms on the schedule for me today - hopefully I will crouch over more efficiently while passing through the tunnel, and not peel a strip of skin off the top of my skull this week. It made last week's Sunday run distinctly less pleasant.

Happy Halloween, maniacs!

Have a great day, maniacs!

What is a GF?

Anyway, today is a rest day for me, but will be exhausting anyway because of Halloween activities at school. Should be fun!

An Easy Run on the schedule for tonight...followed by shopping for a Halloween costume for tomorrow. Maybe I should just be a Blue Man again...but all that makeup feels so gross.

Re: Do you manage your weight?

I only weigh myself when I want to confirm that I haven't lost too much weight, but really since my Army days (when I used to lift weights to bulk up) my weight hasn't changed much. I am fairly thin but muscular, so my concerns about diet and exercise are all about keeping cholesterol down and heart...

Re: Today is Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

I have a field trip today, to Queen's Park (Provincial Legislature). If I am not too drained afterwards, I am supposed to do hill training today! If the field trip wears me out (as 21 grade 5 kids are capable of doing) I will do an Easy Run tonight and hills tomorrow!

Wish me luck!

As I read this thread I am just amazed at how many different responses there are to this news. It just shows me how we all approach running (and goals) so differently. I have to say that the Boston experience is well worth the pain (and the costs) so I hope that whatever decisions are made, the oppo...
